8852. Wow you beaaat me. When I saw the thread, there was only 4-5 posts prior to me placing my order. I really hope this goes through because I dont want to camp over 24 hours if I dont have to. For anyone else placing an order, there's still a possibility that BB will cancel our orders.
Why would they cancel our orders? I would think they would not let us place an order after they exceeded their quantity. At least that would make more sense than letting people order and than come to find out they did not have enough to begin with.
Last 4 of mine is 9161. i ordered around 12:30. hopefully I won't get a cancelation e-mail tomorrow morning.

They could cancel it for a number of reasons. For one, they probably weren't 100% ready to take the orders. The link in the OP was taken from Froogle I believe, and you CANNOT navigate the Bestbuy website and get to the same location. If you go to the PS3 section, there is no link for letting you preorder the system (AFAIK). Unless they were counting on people finding out about this through Froogle, they probably weren't ready to have PS3 preorders online (may have still needed to find out the allocation and stuff like that). I know some situations like this happened last year with the 360, and some stores did cancel the orders. When there are people ordering 10 of these, it isn't too hard to decide to cancel them (especially if you can't honor them). FWIW though, I think Walmart.com had something like this last year. They originally canceled the orders, but then came through on at least some of them IIRC.
i'm lookin at fat wallet rite now, are the order numbers start from 8400 - 10000. so thats about 1400 units. Hopefully we got lucky.
Some people have called customer service, and it seems like they are saying these orders are legit and will be processed. That sounds good.
