Don't know if anyone has played this game, but its pretty fun. A really good party game. It seems like one of those games that Sony could really be pushing and marketing again is killing them. I just don't get it. It would be nice if it were a little cheaper, but it does come with four game buzzers. It has tons of questions and you can even make your own quizzes. If any of yous guys out there have it, let me know and we can duke it out trivia style. Here's the other reason I'm posting this. I made a Rockets quiz and I'll admit its somewhat tough. Anyway, about 70 people have played it and the average review is two out of four stars. I don't get it. The answers are right and they seem like fairly good questions. Its double troubling because other quizzes are getting four star reviews and have ridiculously easy questions. I think it may be because it deals with the history of the team and not just the post 2002 era (Yao fans). So if any of yous guys have it, maybe check it out and let me know what you think. If nothing else, I can probably post the questions I made here and see what y'all think.
Seems like a really cool game. I just don't have friends come over enough to justify spending almost 70 bucks on it =(.
We play the Jungle Party! version of this game (PS2 on the backwards compativle PS3 thanks to Mr. 'tavern19) very often at the SwoLy-Household, and got the Hollywood version just a little before the end of last year. Spoiler I highly recommend it if you have pre-teens or teenagers. It's HILARIOUS and a lot of fun. I have a set of BUZZers that I bought along with the Hollywood version I can sell to any ClutchFan interested for cash or some nice game trade.
My brother in law was over a couple of weekends and my husband and I along with my brother in law played this game for about 3 hours. I enjoyed it, but I also have a thing for games such as this and Scene it for Xbox 360. Also... my brother in law created a quiz last week on there and that is how we told my husbands parents that we are expecting. Great idea and great response
Newegg has it for $56 shipped, no tax. I'll wait till Amazon has it on sale. It's not bad for the price. It includes 4 wireless buzzers.
True. I think it does OK in Europe, where Singstar (another failed marketing attempt by SCEA) is also relatively popular. Basically, SCEE has done a much better job of marketing these sorts of games (or really marketing in general probably). Of course, the PS3's price right now gives them a much bigger challenge than when they were marketing the PS2 versions. As for the game itself, I always thought it did look pretty interesting. Didn't really want to spend $70 (or probably even $30+) on it since I probably wouldn't use it much. But I always figured it would be a blast to play with friends and family...especially compared to SNL Trivial Pursuit (although that was only $10-$15).
Yea, it's also cool that you can just sit there and pick from thousands and thousands of quizzes from every imaginable subject created by others. I have spent hours just playing those a couple of times.
It is. There were quizzes for other teams, but not the Rox so I had to make one. Still going to get one going for the Stros and Texans. I put questions on there like "who was the rookie of the year in 1984?" Also asked some dealing with Moses Malone and the Clutch City era.
