It was a good year for us — don’t forget that. Yes, the loss stings, but overall, we had a great season. This team showed real growth, and that’s something to be proud of. I expect them to come back next year with even more fire. Maybe this heartbreak is exactly what they needed — a wake-up call. That “sometimes me, sometimes us, always you” mentality isn’t cutting it anymore. It’s time to get serious. We need clear leadership, a defined #1 or #2. That’s how championship teams operate. No more hiding behind mottos — it’s time to elevate. This was a great playoff series for us. Every game was close, competitive, and we dominated Game 2. It’s not like they were clearly better — we were right there with them every step of the way. You’ve got to be proud of our guys. They fought hard, showed heart, and proved they belong on this stage. You can tell they really want it.
This team needs a coach that plays offensive guys as well as defensive ones. Too much one sided D only people....not good enough. DD
I think would play them if we had one. Who do you even trust to consistently score for us. Not a single player on the roster.
These guys aren’t fully developed yet — they’re still just 22 or 23 years old. We’ll get there. But I do think Ime needs to treat everyone fairly. At times, it feels like he favors the vets a little too much, especially Fred. I also love how we’re changing the game. We brought the double-big lineup back and brought back that old-school style of basketball. A lot of fans were tired of seeing teams just jack up threes all game. It’s refreshing to see real, physical basketball making a comeback.
That’s why I’m tired of these so-called “fans” thinking it’s okay to just throw Cam or Reed into the fire. You don’t do that in the playoffs if you don’t fully trust them yet. Right now, they need to watch, learn, and grow from the sidelines. Their time will come soon — but you have to earn those moments, not just be handed them because people are impatient.
All I know is the better odds were against us from the start, even when Butler went down. Everyone in the media picked the Warriors to win despite some of our fanbase saying they are just haters. Wrong, this team does in fact need at least 2 superstars to win the playoffs. Stop with the dumbass "winning by committee" bullshit. We've seen time and time again that never works for other teams, why would it work for us? Also, stop drafting/playing more than 2 non-shooters on the court.. Our spacing is so ****ing horrible because Ime wants to play triple non-shooters lineups, even 2 is breaking all common sense in this era of basketball. We totally got exposed on offense because of our non-shooters and Jalen/FVV, who cannot play consistently.
This is exactly why this series was a great test for this young Rockets team. GSW exposed some weaknesses, but that’s what the offseason is for — to reflect, improve, and come back better. We’re all caught up in the moment, but when you look at these guys from Year 1 to now, the growth is undeniable. There’s a reason we were the second seed in the West.
The Lakers have experience, a mega star, an aging superstar and a really good player in Reeves and find themselves down 3-1. People want to jump the timeline and take shortcuts. It's not how the league works. Losing to the Warriors in the past. That's the past and bricking 27 threes in a row. What is this league is players like Butler can act a fool in Miami and get rewarded with a lame whistle. If Draymond is going to go MMA, you can't be disrespecting Dillon and Amen with minimal contact.
There a good young scrappy team. They play hard, but they lack experience. Gsw knew how to play in crunch time, maybe next year they can improve on there mistakes.
I know it hurts right now, but I love this team and I’m incredibly proud of everything they’ve accomplished this season. They fought hard every step of the way, showed heart, and gave us something to believe in. This is just the beginning—every bit of pain we feel now fuels the growth ahead. The only way is up.
You don’t have a clue to the reality of the situation. The West won’t be as weak next year with the newly improved Spurs and the Lakers with the big three (Lebron, Doncic, Durant). Hearing it’s a lock that we’re spending all our capital on retaining FVV for 44.5 mm a year and will have to spend dearly to retain Adams. Welcome to Stone world where we think we have enough and just need the experience. Groundhog day over and over again. Had we made the move for Butler then we’d be the one’s excited to play and beat Minnesota. All it took was Andrew Wiggins??? Their GM won the series and ours lost it with zippo moves at the trade deadline. Not complex and nothing to be proud of as the same thing will occur again next year with no offseason moves.
Everyone in the arena around me was practically begging for Jalen Green to show up today. As far as I’m concerned this team becomes serious when we deal with players who aren’t winners. You don’t develop a killer mentality like Ant, Kobe or Amen have. Jalen doesn’t have it and never will have it. He’s a good nba regular season scorer but that’s all he will ever be.
My expectations before the season 50 wins (somewhere around the 5th seed) and a first round loss in the playoffs. Reality: 52 win season - 2 seed and a first round loss in the playoffs. Mission Accomplished and better than expected. I didn't watch the second half last night instead just checked the box score a couple times because I could see it wasn't going in the Rockets favor and I didn't want a loss to color my positivity of the team, and it hasn't. If they won I would have missed out on the win but would have been able to watch at least 4 more games. All in all, I'm really happy with this young squad. They learned how to play defense together, win together, show grit and determination. They now have to build an offense that matches their defense and when that's done, the league will be on notice. Great season! Thank you Rockets!!
I really liked this group. Get some shooters to go with the core and run it back. I hope they don't do anything drastic to the roster.
