Random politician creates random bill proposal to get attention. Wow.

Cue @VooDooPope coming in, accusing you of "faux outrage".

Its funny how the bill would give social media companies more personal data by requiring submission of your government ID.

I get the compulsion. I have teenagers and I don't like all the consequences I see coming from their social media lives. I try to teach them not to be idiots, but there is only so much you can do. But this is the world they are growing up to be a part of. They need to learn to live with social media somehow. What we need is not a carveout for the kids. We need better rules (including especially data rights) to protect everyone.

Funny how parents can let some middle aged man marry their 16 year old daughter though with permission in Texas but he wants to ban that child bride from social media.

still salty over the losses you’ve been taking huh. The Pelosi husband thread, the nazi puzzle thread, your posting has been like the rockets effort against the spurs. Try harder and MAYBE you won’t take so many losses.

I never lose. I'm like Dream. You are like John Starks, trying to shoot free throws against the Rockets.

The point I was making really wasn't about the kids. It is that ADULTS will have to provide ID and a 2nd picture

oh and in game 7 of the 94 finals Starks was 2/18 from the field including 0/11 from 3 point… but 4/4 from the free throw line.

you must have meant Nick Anderson who bricked 4 free throws at the end of nba finals game 1 the next year for Orlando.

don’t bring that weak stuff into the paint or I’ll swat it into the 3rd row like Mutumbo

Wrong solution to a real important problem.

In the spirit of d&d, social media platforms are evil.

What is a "social media account"? My grandkids play Roblox and Minecraft - is that social media? They communicate and play with their friends on other various gaming platforms. They message me on FB Messenger for Kids.

Going to be hard to restrict Facebook or twitter or youtube for Kids (or regular youtube) or whatever and not hit every single social media official and unofficial site.

I thought Republicans were the party of "let parents parent their kids".

Haven't read details, but having folks submit an ID sounds like a bad idea.

Youngins use Google Docs to share info at school.

I suppose this bill would require Clutch to collect photos of us holding our drivers licenses.

The Republican party is all for personal responsibility and letting parents be responsible for their kids. And, i am totally on board with that.

    You're not?
