Who would of gotten it right....besides Behad's daughter? No way I could of gotten it...... and whats the deal with these kids? They all seem to be socially r****ded.... picking their noses and their armpits...... get your kids to a public school, FAST!
what happened to the little girl that screams after each letter, than pauses for an eternity? ha ha, talk about a bundle of freakin' nerves! i loved the comments that they made on BDSSP last night... one of the anchors said (sarcastically) that these guys are the studs of their schools when they get back! i wonder how they really are treated? did you hear the champion say he was gonna spend his $12K winnings on a "lot of books and save the rest for college"... man let the kid have some REAL fun with th $$$!!
Anyone see SportsCenter this morning? They did a skit about a spelling bee with Tennis Players last names. It was hilarious. By the way, I think I would have gotten prospicience right, but there's many other words that I had no clue.
Why are spelling bees taken so seriously? I mean, I'm sure someone can sit in front of a book of words and memorize their spellings, but how about a word that's not in the book? Spell that you little twirp! Yes, I'm still pissed 22 years after having lost to a future Houston Oilers cheerleader in my 5th grade spelling bee...
Sad..... really, really sad. Prospicience means to look forward for something , The act of looking forward.
http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020531.html Check out this column by ESPN.com page 2 writer, Bill Simmons. I absolutely love his articles, but they are usually incredibly long. It's like a test of endurance, but he has a great sense of humor about sports and life in general. Also a fountain of random info....
T-H-A-T As for the seriousness of it...It's entirely up to the kid. We told our daughter she didn't have to do it if she didn't want to. But she enjoys academia, so she dove in and studied for weeks. I never would have gotten that serious about it. I watched part of the show yesterday, and those kids were geeks. What was up with all the heavy breathing? I thought that one kid was gonna hyper-ventilate right there on the stage. My daughter was having a blast the whole time, smiling and giggling between words. I wish y'all could see the videotape.
<img src="http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/pg2/2002/0531/photo/buddiga_i.jpg"> Is that the kid's real hair, or is he wearing a helmet? Dude must have stock in DEP or something...
