I think he's done a really good coaching job the last few weeks. My main complaint about him was his inconsistent rotation patterns, which I did not see too much of recently. Tonight, he demonstrated a real belief in Asik and didnt do the knee jerk thing and take him out for Smith. A coach with less fortitude like Del Negro might have. Instead McHale stayed true to the big fella and took away a potential weakness. Now Asik has the confidence that he can beat the hack A Asik strategy. This will pay huge dividends down the road when we are the #1 seed and desparate 8 seed teams are doing whatever they can to stop our running game
I agree, I was down on McHale after watching all of the iso, but tonight we were a lot more efficient. And it seemed like we had a lot more ball movement as well. Major kudos to K-Mc for his coaching in this series.
I'm beginning to think that McHale is actually coaching, but Harden just ignores him...when Harden actually LISTENS to his coach, things go well...
Mucho props to coach. He has got this young team playing with poise, smarts, and heart in two straight elimination games.
McHale pushed all the right buttons tonight. McHale is constantly preaching ball movement, and I thought we had some great movement tonight
Yeah, after Asik showed that he could knock those babies down and his form looked good, you needed to stop that strategy.
After the Rockets lose on Friday, we can pummel McHale. But I agree, until then, let's keep it positive.
yup. When they started it, I think they were down by only 9. After 3 minutes of it, they were....down by 9. I'll take that any day of the week.
Yeah, I've been so hard on this guy lately. But today he has my respects how he came back on his coaching abilities. Props to his assistants too. I hope they keep it up.
