I like to recommend people and places who deserve it. Here goes: shawn786 of this BBS and his crew at The New CJ Sounds at I-10 and Gessner. He hooked me up with a new alarm system and new door lock actuators for a very good price. The shop is awesome and their presentation was great as well. I've met a lot of car audio-shop people before who were very high on themselves. Not these guys. Very down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'd recommend them to anyone in need of an alarm system, car audio/video, or Lamborghini doors. If you're that guy, or you know that guy, maybe you and Shawn can work something out. Also, I went to the Mezzanine Lounge off of Greenbriar at 59 last night to catch the Rockets game. I was immediately pissed cuz there was nothing but freaking college football on every TV. That's great and all, but dammit, a home town bar ought to be showing home town teams. My crew and I were relegated to sitting in a corner to watch it on some dinky-ass TV. The night did NOT begin well. Then the owner (GM? Hell, I don't know, but some guy in charge....I meant to get his name) needed to ask us to move to set up some speakers or some such thing. He bought us all a round for moving, and then directed us to a lounge in the back, all to ourselves, with a flat screen and surround sound all to ourselves on which to watch the game.
