Proof the media is attempting to bait the Rockets into making a bad trade

    Broussard at around 2:06: "You can't build around Simmons, who's afraid to shoot and hasn't developed a jumpshot after 3yrs"

    Nick Wright at around 5:06: "This is clearly the best package for the Rockets"

    Which one is it? If the guy can't shoot after 3yrs and isn't a guy to build a franchise around, why should we trade our best player for him? Why exactly is this the best trade for us? This narrative has been repeated but nobody is explaining why Ben Simmons is a good fit. DON'T DO IT STONE!! Morey has his media connections pushing this Simmons for Harden swap, just so they can laugh at us when we're stuck with a 6'8 Westbrook smh

    You NEED shooters around Ben Simmons point blank. I’m not sold on him for our team, but I’d take him if wall misses anytime you can slide him to the point. I want Zack Lavine if we can get him.

    sounds like Stone and Fertitta have started a feeding frenzy - probably just like they hoped. Simmons could just be a decoy anyway. When the smoke clears it will be fun to go through all the offers and the "what could have beens" almost like talking about what you would do with your lottery winnings.

    Ben Simmons is the best allstar you can get considering Harden's preferred destinations. I'm of the mind set to trade him to a really bad team that is desperate to become relevant instead. :D

    That doesn't mean you settle. Let the season play out or let his ass sit. I doubt he would.

    The benefit of letting the season play out is letting other players' stock naturally fluctuate then make the right move when it arrives. The franchise owes Harden nothing at this point.

    You missed the point. The video is in the context of should Philly trade Simmons, in which both guys agreed because Simmons can't shoot. But they also point out how WE should trade Harden for Simmons because that's the best player available. How is the best player available a guy who can't shoot after 3yrs?
