    That is a good trick to have more votes than voters present. That might come in handy if only I could master it.

    This just in, the Republicans don't know how to count. That could explain the budget deficit. That darn decimal.

    Nothing would surprise me from either side, but it seems like it would be hard to get away with "stuffing" the ballot box. Aren't all votes recorded along with who cast the vote?

    You're thinking of regular House votes. This is an election within the Republican members of Congress and separate from normal House business. Most of these kinds of votes are done anonymously so the person who won can't easily punish those who voted against him.
