    This was Dec. 9.
    Record: 10-12

    Current Pace: 37-45

    Projected Record
    : 43-39

    Now Dec. 31

    ecord: 16-17

    Current Pace: 36-46

    Projected Record: 38-44

On the verge of a tough 6 game schedule for the first time in the season, i dont see this getting better.

I wanted to see people predictions, and if you know that Feb. Trade deadline coming if the rockets will pull Major Trades to go ahead and rebuild on the fly while also not looking like a shabby team doing this.

How many games will the rockets win?

It doesn't matter, someone here will always have some theory of how Rockets will be fine and clinch HCA easily

    - It's only pre-season, Rockets will be fine
    - it's only the Denver Nuggets on opening day, long way to go
    - It's only the defending Champions GSW, 80 games left
    - It's only the 3rd best team in the East , 79 games left to go, no worries
    - We are 12-12 and on the way, 54 wins easy
    - We are 16-16 and just peaking, not even halfway through, we will be fine

    And so on

Warriors practically gifted us (a fair shot) at winning with Steph Curry out and I bet we still get blown out by 30.
Spurs revenge game. Bet Dwight actually gets traded not soon after that. GG Rockets.

They are on a back to back.

You think we lose to them on a back to back without Steph?

We just have to quit if that happens and clean house

Here comes the Klay Thompson 40 point game while Harden tries too hard in the beginning and goes 1/6 with 4 TOs only to stat pad himself late game to give himself serviceable stats.
Zero faith in this team this season.

I love Harden but whenever he goes up against a team that's "wronged" him he gets owned 75% of the time.
His OKC battles when we first got him were really hard to watch. He turns into a massive chucker and gets tunnel vision.

For a superstar he comes off really insecure at times and also mentally fragile when faced with some adversity.

I think the whole media Curry love over last season (deserved), Curry's MVP (deserved) and the summer has got into his head. That and media and fans not liking Harden's game. Harden seems to want to prove others wrong and tries too much and it comes off for the worst

He came into the season jacking up 10+ 3's from everywhere and shooting them at a pathetic rate. To me that's not his game and I feel he did that to try and emulate Curry and prove to others his game is just as pleasing to the eye. In each of his first 8 games this season, Harden had at least 10 3 point attempts

Once that didn't work, he finally went back to some semblance of the Harden of last season

Harden is also clearly still out of shape or worse.

He is a negative fan and in good times those were bringing optimists down to earth...but now the future of the team is bleak

I predicted 40-45 prior to the season and sticking with it. I figured we would struggle, somehow it just never felt right even during pre-season.

with no trades this current team will get 35-40.

but there will be trades... and not the good rebuilding kind, but the going all in kind. so i voted 40-45. the rockets rarely have a losing season for better or worse.

honestly, with blake's injury and how poor the west is this year, the 4th seed isn't out of the question even with about 45 wins. i dont think 4th seed and second round appearance will happen, but its not out of the question. most likely 6th-ish seed and first round loss...

i wish les would let us rebuild through the draft. mediocrity is the worst.

Maybe I can't math, but how does 10-12 record project a 43-39 record, while a 16-17 record projects a worse projected record, at 38-44?

Team isn't going anywhere. Somewhere between 38-42 wins. It's gonna play out one of two ways.

    1. 8th seed, swept by Golden State, send their pick to Denver.
    2. 9th seed, keep their pick & select 14th. Does that bring back memories?:)grin:)
