Toledoss -- how do you project us getting Rashard Lewis, Stromile Swift and Shareef Abdur-Rahim ... only people I see gone are KT, Rogers and Drew. Here's my projected 2000-2001 lineup: PG - Steve Francis After that I'm not sure... ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
hmmmm....ok, im gonna stay away from "Dreamworld" too and say.... PG- Duh! SG- R. Lewis SF- S. Anderson PF- Swift C - Dream ------------------ Dream's Team!
this team: pg- Drew sg- Francis sf- duh! Walt Wizard pf- Harrington c- Big Country rest: Moochie, Dickerson, Mario Elie, Avery Johnson, Sean Elliot, Robert Horry, Otis Thorpe here comes the title. Go Houston! ------------------ Cato is 7 feet tall.
Okay seriously, heres our lineup: Pg/Francis Sg/Anderson C/Cato Sf/Derek Anderson Pf/Kenyon Martin(THe Rocks will find a way) Bench: Olowokandi, Dream, Mobley, Williams, Bullard, Rogers, Norris. ------------------ [This message has been edited by ROCKETBOOSTER (edited May 14, 2000).]
ROCKETBOOSTER - How are we going to get Derek Anderson and Kandiman? Say we did get Derek Anderson, why would you play him at small forward, he is only 6'5. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
Dave Cowens was 6'8" and played center!!!!! Charles Barkley was a 6'4" power forward!!!! Calvin Murphy was a 5'10" shooting guard!!!! p.s. and damn good too, I might add And on the other hand: Sean Bradley is 7'5" and terrible!!!!! George Muersean is/was 7'7" and stunk!!!!!! Height isn't eveything!!!!!!! ------------------ You just want to be on the side thats winning.
Francis3: Could we not trade Drew, Thomas, and our 2pick, hell I don't know you figure it out, your probably much better at these trade scenarios than I am. I'm just having fun with it since it's kind of slow right now. Your right we really wouldn't need Derek Anderson, he is too short for the SF, but if Mobley doesn't resign he would fill his role most excellently. ------------------ [This message has been edited by ROCKETBOOSTER (edited May 14, 2000).]
Also I feel the Rockets will find a way to move up in the draft, possibly eyeing the second pick, look we all know the Rockets have been pulling off shocking and sometimes insane trades and signings more than any other team this past decade, Why would Rudy stop now? So if Kenyon Martin and Swift are still available during the 2nd pick, which is highly likely with Mihm entering and Chicago hounding him, the Rockets will find a way too pull off the unthinkable, don't they always? ------------------
C - Dream, Cato, Pig* PF - Fizer, Thomas, Rogers SF - Outlaw, Wizard, Bullard* SG - Anderson, Mobely PG - Franchise, Moochie!!! * - will periodically be placed on the IR, varying on injuries, player development and trades. Azim da Dream ------------------ True champions do not take their failures to heart and never let success go to their heads.
1- Franchise 2- Shandyland 3- Wizard/Mike Miller 4- Tim Duncan 5- Cato Remember that McDonalds commercial line : "Hey ; It could happen" ------------------ Dont do today what you can put of until tomorrow
can some people around here start thinking logically please. teams are not going to just "give" us their good players for our trash. we wouldn't do it for them, don't expect them to do it for us, and even teams that have made lots of mistakes in the past like the clippers and warriors are not stupid, they just made big gambles and lost. here's some things you can pretty much count on: rashard lewis is not coming here as a free agent even if he wants to. he's in the cuttino mobley situation from what i've read which makes him pretty much the property of the sonics unless they want to do a trade. i think our trade bait would be better used elsewhere and i don't think we have anything they want. big country is slow. so the answer is no. think about what you would do if you were the other team. seriously. yeah we got francis, but we gave up a pretty gosh darn good pf and we also lost a good sg who happens to have quite a bit of chemistry with the grizzlies pg and besides that the grizzlies kind of had their hands tied behind their back and HAD to take the best offer. that's not the case in alot of situations. unless a player is demanding a trade or being a pain in the ass to get traded, the team is not going to make a bonehead move to insure that the rockets make it deep in the playoffs next year. i'm going with what the rumors have been saying about the rockets pursuing some good player in free agency and taking what they can get in the draft. i think that will be alot better than most people think. our chemistry is good. i'm not looking for major changes. mike miller is a good chance of being our sf behind walt and shandon. trade for a center or pf. no big deal. but i'm not expecting tim duncan and kenyon martin or stromile swift. that's just dumb. if we had a chance to get one of those players in the draft i don't think we would be trading away our picks. lets just hope for the laws of probability to bounce our way and for us to get a top three pick. that would be quite a blessing, not that the number 9 isn't. that's a damn good pick if used wisely and we should feel great knowing that this organization is good at picking in the lower part of the draft, imagine what they can do with the number 9. i'm happy. ------------------ if you are reading this signature because you are looking for something funny or witty to make you chuckle you have been fooled because this is the most unfunny and unwitty signature ever but i find it absolutely hilarious that you've read it this far
I would be completely happy with this lineup: C-Dream PF-Swift SF-Walt SG-Shandon PG-Francis Backup: Cato, Kenny, Mobes and Moochie ------------------ Now introducing the starting lineup for your Houston Rockets: Starting at Center, from Wake Forets TIM DUNCAN...
pg francis sg anderson c ? pf ? sf ? bench consists of mobley/norris/dream the rest is all up in the air.....
Here is the most likely lineup if we dont trade up PG Francis/Norris SG Shandon/Mobes C Cato/ Dream/ PIG PF Thomas/ Rogers/ Bullard SF Walt Williams/ Mike Miller who i think is our likely draft pick. dont know about devin gray ------------------ --TEX
PG: Francis SG: Shandon SF: Wizard PF: Swift C: Cato Back-ups: Dream, Moochie, Lewis, Mobley, Rogers, Monty Williams, Antoine Carr. With Bullard & Pig on the IL. That was a huge guess! ------------------ Walt the Wizard Williams. "The aging Terrapin from Maryland"
PG: Francis/Moochie SG: Anderson/Mobley SF: Odom/Bullard PF: Croshere/ C: Cato/Olowokandi Walt, Drew, KT, this years first round and maybe next years draft pick for Odom/Olowokandi. ------------------
PG: Francis/Moochie SG: Anderson/Mobley SF: Swift/Williams PF: Duncan/Thomas C : Cato/Dream ------------------
I'll be realistic on this one even though I love to dream too but in order to avoid setting myself up for a major dissapointment I'll try to keep it real. Dream , KT , Walt , Andy and Franchise (keep that late season chemistry going) bench Cato , Cat , Miller , Bullard , Moochie , , Massenburg..( if completly over injury ) gone our late contract signees (except Moochman) and Drew for a late 1st round pick. ------------------ What now ?
