Ok so I only had this xbox for 30 days its the slim. Today I go to play it and when I put my game in it says open tray while the game its already in so Im like what the hell. I open and close the tray about 20 times and it still didn't work the game even got stuck inside the xbox a few times. Has anyone else had this problem?
It happens once in a while to me. I think it's a glitch, not a hardware problem. Try unplugging the Xbox's power supply for a couple minutes.
Happens to me a lot actually. Just keep retrying. And for a quick fix, flip the xbox upside down and it usually works, although I dont recommend doing this a lot.
Thinking about getting the slim... now a bit doubtful. What is wrong with xbox consoles? It's always something. Ring of death and now this ish.
Disc drive errors have always been a problem, much moreso than RROD for me. I have gotten disc errors on the xbox and ps3 since I got them, not sure what the deal is.
Yeah that's pretty ishty too. I think disc errors happen more often on the ps system than xbox though. Still, I've had more problems with the xbox since I first got mine years ago. First it was the RROD, then it exploded on me TWICE! Microsoft might actually be out to kill me since I pirate their software a lot. It's justified though after those incidents.
Don't have an 360, but more than half of the people I know have had problems with theirs. My PS3 has given me absolutely no problems, save for a few freezes here and there. I know Xbox i supposed to have better online gameplay and has Halo and Gears, but I don't think it's worth the all headache. Now, obviously you already bought the xbox, so I'll leave it to the xbox owners to troubleshoot for you.
Only had disc problems with my PS3, a couple of issues, one time where it just wouldn't read the discs... had to reset the firmware. Second time, it wouldn't take the disc. Never had any problems with my Xbox.
