I just want to alert anybody who is about to invest in Norton Security about this serious problem. I have finally given up on them as per the message I sent them. I am tired of not being able to use Outlook because of your incompetence, to wit: Error: "Failed to create folder. Folder must contain at least one character" with Norton AntiSpam Situation: You installed Norton AntiSpam (NAS). When you launch Outlook Express 6, you see the error message "Failed to create the folder. Use more than a letter for folder name," or "Failed to create the folder. Folder must contain at least one character." This is followed by another error message that says "Re-launching Outlook Express is necessary to continue Norton AntiSpam." When you click OK, the first error message appears again. This cycle continues. Solution: Symantec is investigating this problem. The cause is unknown, and there is no solution at this time. This document will be updated when new information becomes available or a solution is found." I have been waiting since early December for a solution. Since you can't solve this problem, I need Outlook more than I need Norton. I want you to return the money I wasted on Norton Security 2004 or I want a solution with the next 10 days. Once the Jan. 13 deadline expires, I will begin posting this request on every bulletin board I can find. Sincerely, ...(Thumbs)
Although I've been using Norton stuff for years, it seems they're becoming a joke. They keep releasing products before they're ready. I know just about every company does that, but most usually at least work and don't prevent you from using other programs. Did anyone have a problem with Antivirus 2004 product activation? I read about some problems a couple of months ago or so. At first Symantec offered the same "solution"--"Uh, we don't know what's wrong." Symantec may yet accomplish what no other company has been able to do--get me to quit using Symantec products.
If you think thats crappy....try using Winfax for a business... crashes...buggy behavior...wont auto-print.. just problem after problem...I gave up on Symantec/Norton products a while back....tho at work we continue to use Winfax cause its the only fax program designed to be used over the network that has the features that the boss needs..
