I don't know if you guys remember my thread from about 10-12 months ago about starting pro wrestling school. Well, I am now 2/3's through and all is going well. The actual wrestling part of it at least. Next week, we are starting on promos/interviews. Some of you who are even casual fans of wrestling would know that very basic catch phrases in wrestling have sold a LOT of T-shirts just because they have caught on (ie "Don't piss me off" from Jeff Jarrett or "That's the bottom line" from Austin) Are there any basic type phrases/insults that you would think might catch on well in my interview arsenal? All help and ideas appreciated.
need to keep them original guys. Plus the Aussie thing, I should make clear, is not going to work as I am wrestling here IN AUSTRALIA....
Aways a classic while doing the hand movements say "STOP(gester the stop hand signal), LOOK (point at eye) & LISTEN(point at ear)." Always a simple classic.
"Don't taze me Bro!" "[insert wrestler's name] faints!" "Imma show you a ride ride!" "I'm 6'3' Latino and Imma bouta wash my junk in yo sank!" after a threat from another wrestler, have the opposing wrestler say "maybe, maybe no" "who wants to secks [insert wrestler's name]" "I will not lose to you, I'm not a f*****" "hahaha and it's only gonna get worse for [insert wrestler's name]" "Imma gazelle!" basically do a bunch of CF shoutouts.
be like charles barkley, every time you speak you should start with: "lemme tellya somethin kenny..." calling people kenny might catch on as a demeaning term like when whats his name kept calling people jabroni.
I'd go with some form of Stop, Drop, and Roll. Something about how *NAME* is going to stop you in your tracks, drop a boot in your ass, and roll you out the ring or building or something. I think it would be an easy catch phrase that you could change up and do a lot with.
Your promo intro should be: "Scream for me *insert city name*. SCREAM FOR ME *INSERT CITY NAME*!" then your closing statement: Your time will (or has) come! rep for whoever gets the reference.
