This is an Idea I've had for a While Let me know what you think Instead of Prisoners getting shortened time for 'Good Time' basically just behaving Why not have it depended on Academic Acheivement If you maintain a 4.0 taking High School or College Level Course you get out Earlier. . . 3.0 not as Early 2.0 less so Less that 2.0 . . stop wasting our f***ing time The ideal is they come out more educated in something more than just crime. I know it has a sh*t load of wholes in it but that is why I am posting here. . . let me know what you think and how could it work . . and why it would not work Rocket River

I could see privatizing prisons... I think prisoners should have to pay for stuff (their meals, their cell, their tv, etc...). So they could get jobs, and depending on how hard they work, they'd get more money to live a higher standard of life while in prison. They could get thier own cell. Private whatever. Better meals...etc. They can take courses and everything. But then again, I don't believe prison should be punishment...prison should be just a way to seperate criminals from society. The loss of freedom is the punishment.
Well, as long as they are paid fair wages and charged fair prices....I think the power of choice is good and would incentivise them to be productive. Let's say you get bare minimum survivial (shared prison room, crappy food, blah blah blah) and you can work for stuff like a TV, cigs, nicer stuff, nice accomdidations....gym membership, etc... Just like the rest of us have to do.
I'm a Proponent of the Pea Farm I think Alot of these WHITE COLLAR criminals need to get out in those fields and put in WORK Tilling, Hoing, Pulling up weeds, etc Heck . . . Some of those 'rough tough' guys need too as well Farming ain't easy Rocket RIver
