I am trying to print images to fill the entire page using ADOBE photoshop -- but everytime I try to print the image it crops off parts of it. I dont understand why it does thus when i change the image size to 8.5 x 11 inches? Does anyone know why it sort of centers the photo on the page instead of filling the entire paper? Any help would be great thanks
are you talking about maybe a quarter inch border around the whole image? not printing ink from edge to edge? if so, you must remember that most printers cannot print all the way to the edge. most of the time if you want a full 8.5 x 11 you have to print on 11 x 14 then trim it down. i hope this helps. good luck.
Yes you are right it is kind of mispositioned and trimmed. Why cant it just full the entire page? I wanted to have to not trim it down cause of the cutting errors that I would make manually. Is it not possible to fill the entire page?
yes, on most consumer printers it is not possible. however on some professional printers it may be possible. most consumer printers are made to print on 8.5 x 11 pages. if printers printed all the way to the edge of the paper you would eventually get a nasty ink build up on the edges of the roller and your subsequent prints would probably have ink residue on them, ruining it. printers print to within a .25 inch or so because that is the way they are designed.
Are there ways to print pictures with sort of an invisible border for each margin? Like say I print an 8x10 photo can I print the rest of the space as empty margins that function as a Border (that is even on all sides of course)?
