I will say that I watch a K-1 fight the other day when Bob Sapp fought Ernesto Hoost. That was a good battle. It looked like Hoost had Sapp in that first round after kicking his leg so many times and breaking a couple ribs. Sapp got knocked down and I didn't think he could get up, but he did. Then Sapp came back in round 2 with some great punches. Hoost mounted a small comeback, but then Sapp cornered him and the ref stepped in. I thought the ref stepped in a bit too early. What is the latest on the Mike Tyson / Bob Sapp match? I saw that Tyson is supposed to do a K-1 fight soon, but his opponent wasn't Sapp. After watching the Hoost fight, I don't think Sapp has a prayer against Tyson. Sapp is too undisciplined. He throws wild punches and is very slow. I was also disappointed in Sapp's ability to take a punch. Hoost stunned him many times with punches and it just paralyzed Sapp. You do that against Tyson, and it's lights out.
That was the second Hoost-Sapp match. The first one was even more one sided in favor of Sapp. The second probably was stopped too early but K1 likes to favor Sapp. Tyson will never fight Sapp -- it's perennially rumored but will almost never happen as he can get a much bigger payday in boxing and doesn't have to deal with low kicks.
im always irked by how UFC is marketing themselves as PRIDE, being that 1) in society, the word pride is often associated with gay pride and 2) the sport does involve half naked men manhandling each other. really makes me wonder wth they are thinking.
