How much did you spend on your current watch and what kind of watch do you own? My current watch is a Citizen that I got a few years back when Service Merchandise was closing its doors. I think I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $150.00 for it.
0 dollars. although my deadbeat dad left a rolex. Don't know if thats really mine per se. I just use my cell phone to tell time.
Do these count as watches? I have an old fossil watch somewhere, but I haven't worn it regularly since I started carrying a phone.
i have two watches: a baume & mercier brown alligator strap watch i got for christmas a few years ago - about $1200 and a krieger lunar chronograph that my dad handed down to me last year... not really sure how much it was since thet seem to be a small(er) watchmaker and i have seen very few (if any) places that sell them. closest estimate i could gather would be anywhere from $1000-$2500. i wear the krieger daily; haven't worn the baume & mercier in awhile.
$19.95 timex that I got at Academy. Watches and sunglasses are the 2 things I refuse to spend money on. The more they cost, the faster I will break or lose them.
the one i wear every day is a Cartier Ligne 21 Chronograph prices differ (i bought this one 3yrs ago)
Watches are one thing that I will gladly waste money on even though it's irrational for me to do so, however I've determined from now on that I'll pretty much never wear anything other than a steel Omega Seamaster. Classic design, goes with everything, always relatively affordable (around 1g) relative to other luxury watches, and reliable. It's basically the perfect watch for my needs. When I was younger I dreamed of getting a Patek Phillipe and I used to wear a semi-obnoxious Breitling, but from now on it's the Omega Seamaster or nothing for me.
So true. I would never spend more than $20 for a watch and $10 for sunglasses. Gas station sunglasses are the only way to go. I think I have a Fossil watch somewhere but I don't know where it is. It's more fun to ask other people what time it is.
Here's mine... Swiss Army Startech 3000... Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer, Alarm, Stopwatch, Second Time Zone, and other cool stuff.
