Topps recently inserted every president's autograph into 04 Topps Baseball. Check out this past auction for the Thomas Jefferson siggy card. Insane.
I find the fact that a card company would destroy authentic documents signed by George Washington to put the signature into a baseball card mildly offensive. What next? Slivers of his false teeth stolen from his grave inserted into cards? Perhaps they can carve up the Declaration of Independence and make a set of all the signers?
Dude, whatever sells and gets me my bonus. I'll mention the bit about the false teeth to my superiors. Thanks for the great idea! Muh ha ha ha ha ha!!
What's even scarier is the foul ball caught by the cubbie fan went for like a $100,000. Now what would you rather buy for your money. A presidents autograph or a lousy fould ball that will go down in imfamy. Maybe you should sell pieces of the cub fan's mit. I'm sure Marlin fans will be glad to buy a few packs.
My son's asked when they started including relic materials in cards, if they had any with Barry Bonds skin. I told them no, but I'll keep looking - I'm sure I'll find Ted Williams out there sometime. Hey Vescey - You need to hire me to redo your Topps web pages! It's impossible to get the baseball checklists to come up even at the highest bandwidth. Through in a few selected players relic/auto cards upon completion and I'm sure we'll both be happy!
