The Houston Rockets 2000 preseason schedule follows:

    Date Day Opponent Time Site
Oct. 10 Tues. at Dallas 7:00 p.m. Reunion Arena
Oct. 12 Thurs. vs. Charlotte 7:30 p.m. Compaq Center
Oct. 14 Sat. at San Antonio 7:30 p.m. Alamodome
Oct. 17 Tues. vs. Seattle 7:30 p.m. Compaq Center
Oct. 19 Thurs. vs. Portland 7:30 p.m. Little Rock, Ark.
Oct. 21 Sat. vs. San Antonio 7:30 p.m. Compaq Center
Oct. 24 Tues. at Detroit 6:30 p.m. The Palace of Aub. Hills

Is this going to be the toughest preseason or what? I know the preseason isn't necessarily an indicator of regular season performance, but we're facing mostly .500+ teams this preseason. So when the preseason is over, I hope people don't jump to the conclusion that we are heading to the lottery after 7 preseason games.

Honestly, I don't think that our preseason record is going to be bad at all b/c the Rocks have been able to beat these teams as their chemistry improved. True, we have added Collier, Langhi and Taylor to the mix and we still have to see how they affect the chemistry.

In the preseason, I am going to be looking for certain things:

    1) Francis' improvement
    2) Hakeem's health
    3) A better Cato
    4) Taylor's impact (a plus?)
    5) Langhi's ability to prove he is more then Matt Bullard (even after a good RM Review)
    6) Whether Walt Williams is still on fire

All in all, I think we are going to go 4-3 (based on the current rosters).

How do you all think the preseason is going to turn out? Will our offseason acquistions be the catalyst to bring us back to the glorious playoff days?

Im so pumped as well. I cant wait till we head out to dallas , its going to be a texas battle. I am looking forward to steves improvement and Cato. Hakeem in my mind shouldnt play that much in the pre season. I would like to see how langhi performs against some of the top sf in the league.

    LETS GET IT ON!

I think it looks like a great warmup for the season.

The only truly reliable way to get the games over the internet is to get the NBA League Pass off of NBA.com... It's 19.95 for the entire season.

You can also log on to the clutchchat here on the site during each game and get regular updates...

I don't think Francis can improve too much because he won't be human then.

This team is definitely going to get fired up so bad, even Station 55 can not extinguished the fire. Rockets will kick A-S-S!

It would be cool if Langhi got some good J's on Pippen. I would love to see that.

I listened to all of last year's games on Real player. The station was WTAW out of Bryan College Station.

Preseason means that Rockets fans can get to finally see the Rockets play. How many fans out there watched taped games from last season this summer of the Rockets?

I only ever actually got KPRC radio to work once, and even then the connection was terrible. I don't know, maybe others have had more success than me.

But that's what I meant when I said that the only TRULY reliable location was NBA.com.

    Anyhow, good luck...
