I need some advice here... 1. How accurate are pregnancy tests? 2. How much does it cost about to go to a clinic and find out for sure? 3. Is there a possibility that the tests came up positive(2 out of 3) saying shes pregnant but really shes not. Something like a false pregnancy. 4. How much would an abortion cost?
Let's put it this way. When my wife's First Response (over the counter pregnancy test strip) said she was pregnant, she called the doctor. The doctor said, "Congratulations, you're pregnant," and scheduled her for an ultrasound. Those tests are sometimes wrong with a negative response, but when they show a positive........there is VERY little chance they are wrong. So..... Congratulations Dad.
Armyman- When my wife and I were trying, I did some research. There can be false negatives, but never false positives. In other words, if your pregnancy test comes up +, you're having a baby. It's all based on how the woman's hormones respond to the gold in the pregnancy test. As of three years ago (when I did my research), First Response was the best at detecting pregnancy- it has the most gold to detect the pregnancy. My wife did 6 tests, and three of them were First Response, and they were all +. The other three were Wal-Mart generic, and they were +--. You can get First Response at Walgreens. Another word for you. I'm not a big pro-choice guy...I don't believe that my beliefs should matter to YOU...but if she is pregnant, I encourage you to go through with it. I was the biggest, craziest single guy you would ever meet before my son was born. He really put things in perspective for me. In any case, at least adopt the baby out, because there are plenty of loving people out there who will take it on. Good luck!

Gold? I'm definitely not an expert on this issue, but I am in med school. this This test be an antibody to HCG. Another anti-antibody linked to some kid of visualization system (the line or whatever) gives you the indication. But gold? Can you explain further? @ ArmyMan: she is pregnant, the tests are very unlikely to be wrong.

This is why girls should warm up to facials. My friend had this scare happen to him TWICE earlier this year with a girl he wanted to break up with but didn't have the balls. SUcked hard for him during that time and its not like he could break up with her after she miscarried.
do more pregnancy tests. regardless what people say, ive had a girlfriend get a false positive. she took two tests after her period was a week late; first one was negative, second one positive. after the worst couple of hours of my life, we bought a different type of over the counter pregnancy test and both came up negative. she got her period a few days later. past that man...thats a rough feeling to have. good luck.
She probably was pregnant. You'd be surprised how many pregnancies don't make it past the first couple of days.
