Simply, would you have rather kept the team intact that started the season pre-All Star/trade deadline, and NOT made moves for the purpose of getting more postseason success?

Its not to say that YOU MISSED players, its if you thought WINNING a little MORE woulda been better, and doing with the players that were dealt away? (Win now)

Or, are you okay with how things went? (Future and some "now").

    Post-Deadline Benefits:

    - Francisco Garcia was obviously a key player in postseason.

    - Sending out Patrick Patterson + Marcus Morris opened up time for development of other players in an already CROWDED position, like Terrence Jones and Greg Smith.

    - Patrick Beverley earned his spot on the team, so Toney Douglas who already was "expiring contract waiting to happen" was a bit of excess.

    - It was nice seeing Aaron Brooks again on the Rockets competing against foe Derek Fisher.

    Hindsight:

    - Patterson + Morris was probably too many steady hands sent out at an already weak position. Donatas Motiejunas and Thomas Robinson simply didnt become dependable players. T-Jones had moments but not enough experience. Carlos Delfino at power forward is all that needs to be said there.

    - Having Toney Douglas would have PROBABLY been no need for having Brooks. Douglas was the Patrick Beverley before Beverley. Probably a better matchup against Reggie Jackson. More importantly would have played all year and had coach's trust more than Brooks.

    - Forgotten man, Cole Aldrich. Rockets were SUPER VULNERABLE on defense every time Omer Asik stepped off the floor. Along with not having a dependable power forward was NO BACKUP CENTER. Aldrich is not a good player barely serviceable, but woulda probably gave A LITTLE something MORE than Greg Smith who might have been the weakest link of anyone.

    - Continuity of the roster start to finish MAYBE woulda resulted in having: a higher seed up maybe weaker opponent, an always exciting Game 7 against OKC, or possibly even WINNING the first round?

Or are things good as they happened, no real complaints about the roster adjustments? And onto the next season on a relative high note?

To me, it's basically PPat for Garcia. I think PPat would have helped our PF position but Garcia was huge. We lose a little bit of size but gained some range and grittiness. It's basically a wash.

Thinking of the future, on the other hand, we also got TRob who has a lot of potential so we have to call it a good trade.

After easily. Beverley was terrific in the postseason. And Garcia stepped up as a leader not just with his shooting but his toughness. That's an intangible PPat and Morris don't have. Plus now the Rockets can clear up more capspace in the offseason by dumping TRob for a 2nd rounder. In fact, that was probably the biggest reason they made those deals.
