I'm predicting that we will have a 9-7 record to end November.

I'm guessing that our 2 losses will come from either Phoenix, Indiana, Miami or Sacremento. I'd like to think that we will take Phoenix this time around. I'm hoping that we will also beat Sacramento. Traditionally, we always seem to do poorly against the East, especially Miami. But that was then. We are a different team now so who knows.

Going 9-7 in November will keep us in the playoff race. Yeah, I know it's too early to be talking playoff race but who cares! Considering that last season we finished November with an 4-11 record, 9-7 will be a vast improvement.

Also keep in mind that we will have played 9 games against teams that were in the playoffs last year. Of those 9 games 3 will have been against the 2 teams in the Finals. We will have played against 3 of the 4 teams in the conference finals last season.

I've got a good feeling about this year. If we can be this successful this early in the season then imagine how we will be doing once the team has solidified and they radiate confidence.

You know they are hungry to prove ESPN and CNN/SI wrong about their predicted records. These guys have mucho pride and they know they can be better than what the so-called experts think.

Imagine if we end up winning or splitting the regular season series with LA, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento and SanAn. That might be dreaming but I won't be surprised if it happens.

I'm also predicting the Rocks go 9-7, this is a tough stretch though so if they don't its still cool. [IMG]

For some reason I just dont think that the Rockets will lose to Indiana. But other than that, I agree with the consensus so far.

5-5 Charlotte at Home - Win
5-6 Phoenix at Home - Loss
5-7 Indiana on Road - Loss
6-7 Boston on Road - Win
6-8 Miami on Road - Loss
7-8 Sacramento at Home - Win
    8-8 Denver on Road

Tough spots include beating Boston (2-1 at home to date) in a back-to-back game and beating Sacramento at home. Sacramento is 3-2 on the road to date beating Chicago, Detroit and Golden State and losing to Cleveland and Minnesota.

This is being cautious, but I can see the Rockets beating Phoenix (1-1 on the road to date) at home.

Actually, I can see them winning all these games, but I'd prefer to be pleasantly surprised. [IMG]

I'd be happy at 9-7. I think it is doable, provided that we can beat Sacramento and Phoenix at home. JWill is actually playing pretty well this season for Sac, but we could pull that out, especially if CWebb's injury is worse than thought. Indiana (minus Rose) and Phoenix (minus Gugs and Penny) are both winnable, but we haven't fared too well on the road so far.

I'll go with 10-6 with our only loss coming to Indiana or Miami.

Ill be content witha a 8-8 record. Anything above that for rite now would just be the icing on the cake.

10-6 is soooo close! I'm really hoping that they beat my prediction. Even if we beat Sac and lose to Den, I can deal with that.

Beating LA, Miami, Indiana, and Phoenix has been great. I'd love to add Sacramento to that list because they are pretty hot right now. That will then leave SanAn and Portland as the last of the powerhouse teams that we have not gotten a win over.

Any takers on December? If we go 10-6 in November then I'm saying that we go 9-4 in December, giving us a 19-10 record.

If we finish 9-7 as I predicted, I'm gonna quess that we will end up with a 8-5 record in December, giving us a 17-12 record.

December includes 2 meetings with SanAN, 2 meetings with Dallas, 2 with Seattle, 2 against Golden State and 1 each against LA, Portland, Sacramento, Vancouver, and Denver.

Definetly not a light schedule. But think of the character and chemistry bulding that will may achieve during this month.

The first 3 months of the schedule is a lot tougher than the last 2 1/2. Here's hoping that we come out of the All-Star break in great shape with tons of confidence going towards the playoffs.

Thanks for digging up this thread, I don't think I could have been more wrong if I'd tried.

Given my predictions to date, I'd say a loss to Sacramento and Denver look inevitable. [IMG]

March will be the Golden Month for Houston. That is the month where the Rockets finally get rewarded with some easy games. About 12 of 15 games in March are against sub-500 teams. How about 12-3......

Wait a minute, knowing the way the Rockets play against bad teams, the record will probably be 3-12.
