I say Rockets win 97-86,Francis goes for thirty and one of the rookies has his best game thus far;I'm not mentioning any names but around here he is affectionately known as "Baby Fat".You can look for 12 and 6 from him.And you can expect much gloating if I'm anywhere close to right!

    From me too! [IMG]

We may have a few problems in this game, cause I'd like to have Mo against Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, and Dale Davis at the PF spot. But Kenny played very well defensively the other night, and obviously has the offense. What I'd get the most thrill out of is it Walt can hold Quitten scoreless! [IMG]

    Rockets 102
    Blazers 95

I predict that Scottie Pippen will refuse to go back into the game because Cuttino Mobley made Scottie "his b****".

I predict a Blazer loss tonight because the Blazers haven't been placing much importance in the preseason; Dunleavy isn't working the vets because we can't afford injury. He's aslo been trying dozens of combination and testing new palyers. Pippen missed a lot of the preseason anyway, smith hasn't been spectacular, and Sabas has injured himself so it's best to save our horses for the crucial(from a psychological standpoint) Halloween game. If we lost to the warriors i expect a loss agianst you guys. *yawn*it's only preseason anyway and thank God the baseball playoffs are going on to get me through the last 2 weeks b4 the season.

As much as I hate to discount my beloved Rockets, I gotta pick the Blazers in tonite's game. With Mo out and the Blazers frontline we are gonna get killed inside. Plus Portland just took an embaressing loss to the Clippers so they won't be treating this like meaningless preseason game. I predict Collier will have 12 and 6 as well. 12 minutes, 6 fouls.

    I agree w/ Rainey but:

    Rockets 206
    Blazers 27

and Spottie doesn't come back cause Cat's foot's up his ass.

On the contrary , i've read more about the Blazers being concerned about going to Kleine's Arkansas restaraunt for some ribs instead of discussing the game. Dunleavy in particular. I just hope Kemp stays away from the restaurant [IMG] Pippen is too concerned with him being in his home town and seeing his family to care amnd Smith is being allowed to take it easy since he went to Sydney. i will be angry however if i don't see some effort out of the younger guys...Wells, Stoud, Sheed, Barkely...even Nakita even in their losing effort. Some of these guys need to be earning their regualr season minutes during this time. I expect a big game from Francis.

"and Spottie doesn't come back cause Cat's foot's up his ass."
How mature [IMG] I'm astounded by your utter intellect. 206-27? And fyi, Cat idolizes Pippen and carries his rookie pic around in his wallet. He once said he wants to model his game after "spottie". Ho do you feel about that? Dude, all I'm asking is that you be objective about this ... the rockets will win but no one will be anyone's "b****" in a mere preseason game and i don't expect to see anyon'e foot up another's player's ass (atleast i hope not thats disgusting).

LOL @ JCBlazerGirl33 [IMG] I have my prediction that the Rocks will win by 5+ and we will see Steve Francis dunk on:
    Scottie Pippen
    Shawn Kemp
    Arvydas Sabonis

That is all. For now at least. Anyways, what time is the game and is it on FSSW or Tube?

    ------------------
Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

hey blazer girl i respect your love for all that is blazer but you must understand from a rocket perspective pippen is one of the lamest guys around and we have no respect for him whatsoever myself included..

i am glad we do not have his contract and i am glad that we do not have to listen to him whine about being asked to take a leadership role..plain and simple he coudlnt hack it and i honestly believe that yes he was good int he chicago years but he gravy trained those titles behind mj..

the guy is so overrated and i feel sorry for him somehow even though he makes 300 times what i make he is nothing more than a role player and he still has that grill that only a surgeon could take care of..

he is not rocket material and we didnt need his crap..i like the blazers and like i said understand where you are coming from as a fan of them but still the guy is lame...

    ------------------
I think people are forgetting that we are the rockets...

    WE DONT REBUILD...WE RELOAD....remember that..

I think if they go with a frontcourt of Sheed/Kemp/Davis and a backourt of MightyMouse/BoziWells, our work is pretty cut out.........comforting to know their (almost)second unit can compete with us....

But the Rockets will prevail, in OT, 89-86..

    Sabas isn't playing, you're right.
Sir Hangover- Precisely, "from a rocket" perspective Pippen is lame. I don't think it's from most rocket players' perspectives. From what i've reads in mags, in the short time he was there he had a profound impact on Cat and Dickerson(although Dickerson isn't a rocket anymore). He's still friends with Hakeem and he and Barkely have patched things up(Barkley wasn't exactly a little angel during the whole pippen fiasco contrary to popular belief; i might be able to get into that a little more during the weekend due to lack of time now).
Blazer fans aren't crazy about Rider, and in MHO the crack-smoker isn't worthy of respect, but when we discuss him with Laker fans on our board http://www.hoopsboards.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?forumid=36 we atleast try remain objective and try not to resort to name calling. I just didn't like cson's response that's all. I'm not trying to convert anyone to a Blazer fan or anything. I didn't let my "love for all that is blazer" prevent me form admitting that the rockets would probably win tonight.

Hey i can't speak for everyone, there are some losers who like to redicule kobe's huge Adam's apple and Shaq's iq every chance they get but most of the time civilized discussion is maintained w/ our biggest rivals despite them having JR "have a coke can" Rider.

I hope this new Blazers fan doesn't embarass herself like the last one who posted on this BBS.
Do you guys remember a member of the BBS who went by the name SCOTTIEPIPPEN6RINGS? Man, that guy hasn't posted under that name since we shredded him on the first day for thinking of an asinine name like that.

wink, she's OK. I'm not really sure why fans from other teams come here but if they do so without getting into personal attacks or flame wars then they're free to stay. JC's been posting on and off since may (read that little date, next to people's names?) and she seems to put some thought into what she says.

As for 6Rings, I remember him. I also remember someone from this board who still posts regularly (and often) who used to go by Pippen33. Not naming any names. [IMG]

LOL Yea I remember ol' 6rings. How bout tonight's game ya'll? MAN! Los! Cat! Stevie! Kelvin! Kenny! Good lord everyone was great tonight! I think Los really played a heck of a game and showed that he has improved and can take down boards. Cato and Kenny T were playing good defense along with some great offensive moves by Kenny. Cat, well another great performance and he's showing that he's soon to be one of the league's top gaurds. Francis....one word...SUPERSTAR! See that dunk on Quitten? I PREDICTED IT! See that 5point + victory...I PREDICTED IT!

    ------------------
