If we make the playoffs, we'll either play Sacramento or the Blazers first round. I think it would be a toss-up. We can beat both, it's just a matter of beating them twice in a row. They'll be ready, and we might not be... Worst case, we can spoil these playoffs. ------------------
I'm sticking with the same prediction I have made for thread different threads this year: 45-37, seventh seed ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
I'll also have to stick to my prediction made in numerous threads lately: 48-34 Seed, hmmm I've not added seed, but I'm happy just to get the 8th. I cant see 45-37 being enough for the 7th but I will not deny them playoffs hopes at 45-37 although I think getting into the west at 45-37 will be hard. ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away. If we won the first game and every other game after that we wouldnt have to win 2 in a row. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
Yeah, I agree, but I have to stick to it. As often as these threads pop up, I'm wondering if someone will start a "Predict the Rockets Record" thread after 81 games! ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS [This message has been edited by Behad (edited February 08, 2001).]
I'm going with the percentages against the east (81%) and west (33%). That would net them 24 wins against the east and 18 against the west. 42-40 ------------------ "We're growling more...I would not say it's a growl. It's not a purr either." -- Rudy T.
I pulled out the run for the playoffs thread and I did infact add a 7th seed to my prediction...or atleast around 7th seed as I stated, so: 48-34, 7th Seed ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
Realistically I think we can finish: 46-36 based on what I have seen recently. We have to have one of the easiest second half schedules in the NBA!!!! ------------------ "Chucky who?" Charles Barkley
Unfortunately, the Rockets don't seem to do too well against the easy teams. I'm going to stick with my prediction from the preseason: 41-41. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary Gafford Art Artisan
I'll stick with my original prediction too: 49-33. We will get at or near this record-- to do it we'd need to go 25-8. Considering how everyone is finally healthy now, we are starting to gel, and that our schedule is simple, I really think it can be done. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." 42-40. we must be realistic, simply because the other west teams would have to collapse in order for the rockets to slip into the playoffs. then again, only a few games separate most of the teams, so who knows. we got the fire now, i hope. ------------------
If the offense is spread the way it has been the last few games (though Mo should get more touches), and Dream continues his resurgence, and if this team continues to play the defense it has played, I see the Rocks with 44 or 45 wins MAYBE 46, and a 7th or 8th seed. This team looked like it had a chip on its shoulder when it went down to Philly! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
I'm going to side with Popeye's original prediction of 58-24. ------------------ "I never did like that "Dr. Stupid""-Monty Burns
44-38 is my prediction after looking over the schedule. I could easily see us winning more than that, because we play a lot of weak eastern conference teams in the 2nd half. ------------------ "Steve is good.
