Great win guys...now bring on Orlando. I think we're on a great roll here and expect another losing streak to a team to end friday night. I see Franchise and Mobes bouncing back from a poor shooting night against Minnesota and leading the team to victory with a balanced attack with 'keem and Mo. Besides...we gotta get them back for ending our streak earlier (damn....we should be on a 7 game winning streak...damn that McGrady). I'm not very good in predicting scores...so what do u guys think? ------------------ if your wondering..killah=killer and flip=filipino..so please stop askin'..ohh and go rocks!!
I like your way of thinking, but let me give you a piece of advice....don't EVER jump the gun! Give it another day for the Pimpin' kharma to build before you mention another prediction.... ------------------ "Clinton lied. The Rockets will cruise to an easy win. 104-86. Francis will score 24 points, hand out 6 assists and grab 8 boards. Hakeem will score 15 and grab 9 boards. Mo will get 18-7. Cuttino will score 12 points on 6-42 shooting. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death." Orlando is just NOT Houston's team. Everytime Houston came in here dtermined to win, Orlando transformed all the energy into turnovers. We always play loosely against them, that's why the key to this match is controling the tempo, and taking excellen care of the ball. I think Cat will have a big game, Shandon and Hakeem will ave an average game (13pts?), and Mo will play good early on. Mcgrady can score in bunches, but if we hold Darrel Armstron in check, then I think it will be ok. Rox 90 Orl 89 Francis 15pts, 10reb, 4ast, 4TO Cuttino 30ots, 5reb, 5ast, 3stl Hakeem 13pts, 7reb, 3blk Shandon 13pts, 6reb, 4asts, 3stls, 1blk Mcgrady 39pts, 9reb, 7assts, 3blk, 2stls Let's go Rox!! ------------------
If the Magic is allowed to continue playing a zone defense the entire game, then the Rockets will have a hard time on Friday. This may sound like a rip, but I really think the key to success in this game is a guy like Mobley. The fact is, last time we played Orlando, we had 18 turnovers in the first half because the Magic were playing the passing lanes. So give the ball to a guy like Mobley, who's not necessarily looking to pass, and let him either create a shot for himself, or if we're lucky he can break the defense down and find an open man. The Mooch also could have a strong game against the Magic if he looks for his shot a little more. My prediction, however, is that myself and a couple of friends will find tickets to this game, and try to point out the zone defense to the refs so that it actually gets called more than twice during the course of the game. ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
In the earlier meeting, whenever Mobes got the ball, they quickly doubled him and he had a hard time getting his shot. Through two and a half quarters he was 3-3 from the field with ten points. It was late in the third when he got to the line and then really heated up scoring 21 points from then on to finish with 31. I also think he is the key, but if they keep doubling him, we have to find a way to get him involved(screens, picks). ------------------ "GiddyUP!!!" Krammer from Seinfeld
Francis: 21 pts 7 rb 8ast Mobley: 26 pts 9 rb 3ast 6shot clock violations Hakeem: 14 pts 13rb 4blk Mo: 19pt 14RB 2blk McGrady: 86 pts 14rb 0ast Houston wins 115-86 ------------------ The best is yet to come. Go Rockets!
Revenge and relief (that there were no trades) factor in to make the Rockets hard to beat. Mobley, determined to shake out the bad shooting vibes of last game gets 29 points. Francis adds another 24. Hakeem scores less, but pulls down an amazing 16 rebounds. Thomas pulls down another 8 rebounds. Overall a great effort and a conscious attempt to limit turnovers. final score: Rockets: 104 Orlando: 99 ------------------ "Weathermen are simply con-artists with radar equipment. To beat Orlando we must be aggressive from the start,Francis must attack Armstrong and continue to look for the open man.Mobley has to anticipate the double team and pass the ball to create scoring opportunities.Good ball movement can lead to open shots.Anderson should also look to drive more often against Mcgrady to try to get him in foul trouble. The Magic will try to control the boards and we will have have to stop them by continuing to play hard which can lead to more points in the paint. We must defend better in order to stop them from getting easy baskets on the break. It's going to be a hard game but we can beat the Magic and improve our chances of making it to the playoffs. ------------------
Toast, give the officials hell. Orlando plays and gets away with more zone defenses than any other team I've seen so far. Also the idea of utilizing Mobley early on, exploiting Orlandos zone defenses, is an excllent combatant for Houston. ------------------ [This message has been edited by ROCKETBOOSTER (edited February 22, 2001).]
I think Rockets will win, but Tracy might be the hardest player to cover for out team. No one on our team can guard him. Shandon is too small, and Maurice would obviously be slow. I would try to experiment a little with Carlos on Tracy. ------------------
I'd be up for giving Langhi a chance to guard McGrady too. He's at least fast and tall enough. Give the Walking Mismatch a chance to prove himself. ------------------

I think we will pay them back for ending our streak. Cat will have a big game (25+ pts). Rockets 96 Magic 88 ------------------ "Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen" -Hudson
Orlando has one coming after that debacle last week. Rocks by 12. ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
We'll have to win this game with good defense. You guys who like to post numbers ... I think most of you have the score a bit high. Both teams will be high 80s to mid 90s ... at least that's my opinion. This is a big game. Time to end a losing streak, and get a little payback for our last meeting. Go Rockets. ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
