You have us going 37-4 at home with the only loses coming to LA and Dallas. Pretty optimistic. Seeing as how there is no difference in the schedule (in terms of who we play) from last season to this season, I am picking us for 45-47 wins and a 7-8th seed.
Yes but last year how many games did we blow to last place teams. ALOT. Van Gundy will shot them if they do it. Like I said I alow 4 four more loses and yes those could be home games so that would put us at 8 home loses.
lol, 57 wins? were not that good, im sayin 47-35 and thats wishfull thinking, and we get the 8th seed
Everytime we play LA, Dallas or Minnesota u can just pencil that in as a loss.... Not to mention San Antonio and Sacremento... which we probably will beat once each.. So all in all that is roughly 18 losses already.. How are we gonna finish 57-25... If we can stay healthy the 8th seed is doable. but our record will probably be worse than last years, but we will make the playoffs because the rest of the west got worse... Utah is gone... Portland loses their glue in scottie.. gilbert goes to washington.. clippers are gonna lose andre.... Rockets probably finish 8th seed with a 42-40 record
Yao Ming, Eddie Griffin, and Steve Francis all gain another year of experience = Rockets with a worse record and a better seed?
No he has us 36-5 losing to LA dallas and SA at home there is no way our home record will be that good
No Posey and running a new system cancels out all experience gained. Experience is over rated... All depends on their development. Which cannot be judged until i see them play. We just got worse on defense and not better on offense..
I expect the Rox to trade/sign an extra perimeter defender. Rox will be behind Kings, Spurs, Lakers, Dallas, Minnesota, Portland, so there you are, the #7 seed.
50-32. We stay the same against the elites, but we pick up a few Ws that we should of won last year. #7 seed, lose to the Spurs in the 1st round.
Posey wasn't even with the team in the beginning of the year, and didn't even start until several games into his stint. I can't believe (or, I can) how overplayed James Posey's contributions are, right now- we went into last season same with the same swing tandem, except Hawkins was an even less known quantity, and have added one of the best gunners in the league. Piatkowski is an improvement from Posey offensively. Fellow can shoot. But alas... 1.) You don't think having Van Gundy coaching down the stretch instead of Larry Smith will mean anything? If the Rockets aren't comfortably in the playoffs, he won't be sleeping. Hell, even if they are, he probably won't be sleeping. 2.) Experience and development have no correlation? Does age have any correlation with development? Prediction time... 47 wins, 7th seed.
53 wins and the 6th seed Yao's development(stronger and faster) Steve's maturity( JVG influence ) Cat's mutlifacted game gets better MoT's resurgence to a quality forward( 2 years removed from injury) JVG 's improved defense All equate to a few additional wins and a better playoff seed.
