With Ball and Forsett in the fold, I decided to try to guess the 53 man roster even though other signings and injuries could change things.

    QB (3) Schaub, Yates, Beck

    RB (3) Foster, Tate, Forsett

FB (2) J. Ford, FA to be signed later

WR (5) Johnson, Walter, Posey, Martin, Jean

    TE (3) Daniels, Graham, Casey

OL (9) Brown, W. Smith, Myers, Caldwell, Butler, S. Smith, B. Brooks, B. Jones, Newton

DL (6) Watt, Smith, Cody, Crick, Mitchell, T. Jamison

LB (8) Barwin, Cushing, B. James, Reed, Mercilus, Braman, Dobbins, Sharpton

DB (11) Joseph, Jackson, McCain, B. Harris, Carmichael, McManis, Manning, Quinn, Nolan, Demps, Ball

    ST (3) Bullock, Hartmann, Weeks

And for kicks here are my p-squad picks: Keenum, Meggett, Maehl, M. Alexander, Fangupo, Keo, T. Austin, E. Pleasant

    What do ya'll think?

Casey, as of now, is FB1 and TE2.

Looking at the roster, I don't see anyone who could step up and become the 3rd TE if Casey becomes FB1. Now if Casey becomes the FB1 and TE2 to start the season, then that would open up another roster spot for maybe a WR6.

All it likely means is that we're going to carry 4 TEs into the season, which Kubiak is prone to do anyway.

You know Kube's loves him some TEs! I guess they will look to bring in a vet real soon.

Interesting to see what the texans do with Walter if Jean is as good as advertised and Posey has a monster preseason. He could get cut.

just looking at the roster spots for our front seven makes me feel bad for opposing offensive lines.

We'll go two QB's. Third will be practice squad.

If Beck is your 3rd string QB, you might as well only go with 2. But with all the injuries to the QBs last year, I think Kubes may go with 3.

Hard to see that happening, as we carried 3 QBs the entire year last year, even before Schaub's injury.

    It could happen if:

    -Beck sucks and gets cut
-We have a non-QB that we like enough to put him on the final 53 over a 3rd QB
-Ergo Keenum ends up on PS (and we take that risk because we don't think anyone else would sign him out from under us)

But even then, with Schaub's status, I doubt we roll into any week this year with only 2 QBs in uniform.

Kinda doubting that. Thats if they don't sign another vet WR like they tried with Sims-Walker. Not that Walter is a must-keep world beater but unlikely to contend with 4 1st year WRs past AJ, too much inexperience. Need some kind of veteran presence there even if Walter's the 5th WR. But stranger things happen in the NFL

Walter already took a paycut as well, so I'd say the chances of him getting cut are pretty much nil.

    Next year, however...
