To me, its not a question of IF, but rather WHEN......The guy is flat out terrible!!! Before last night he was shooting something like 18.2% from the field (then he pulled an 0-4 last night). With him not hitting shots defenders are going to sag off of him and double Yao....which hurts our team. We need someone out there that can make a defense pay for doubling down on Yao. Also, Van Gundy is ripping him in the paper. When he says stuff like "we had guys last year that had that fight, that edge: but this year they dont have it".....he is definitely talking about Wesley. I dont know whether its because we got DA in the off-season or what, but Wesley looks lost out there. Anyone else notice that LUTHER HEAD was in the game at crunch time last night, while Wesley was on the bench? I think Wesley will be gone within 2 weeks.
If he keeps shooting this bad then no one will want him. He's not helping his cause by being so bad at the moment. I'd say his value is just about close to none right now. I'm hoping his shot will come back though. It definitely can't get any worse. Poor David. Get your shot back man!! WE NEED YOU!
Yep. what is JJ doing these days? Still with the suns? Man, that was the one trade I never agreed with.
That trade sucked... Supposedly it was a personality conflict between boki and van gundy. JJ was thrown in to make the numbers match.
I agree with Uprising- poor trade for us to begin with. He is old and slow, cannot defend anyone but the slowest players. We are stuck with him and his 5 mil price tag until his contract expres at the end of the season. I do not think this deal could be blamed on Rudy.
I actually thought that this trade worked out well for the Rockets last regular season. However, over the course of the last few regular season games and the playoffs, things went wrong for Wesley. But having Jim Jackson here instead of Wesley would not be a difference maker.
The Rockets should waive David Wesley, and when no team picks him up, just make him an assistant coach.
Give the guy a break! The guy just came back from a knee sugery, didn't shoot well for a couple of games. Now he is guilty of us losing two games? Have any of you had knee surgery, then tried to shoot the long range jump shot during a competitive game before? You cannot do that when your legs don't have the push. Give the guy sometime to recover his leg strength.
With the predicament the Rockets are in, he should be out of the rotation starting tomorrow night. The Rockets cannot afford to wait on Wesley to shoot himself out of this slump. Not with T-Mac out. At his age, there's no telling how long it'll take him to recover from his knee surgery, if he ever recovers. I think it's best to just assume he's damaged goods and move on without him. It hurts us in the short term to continue to play him and it hurts us in the long term to have him cut into Head's minutes.
No way, let's cut him! Everyone knows it makes good basketball sense to cut every player that goes through a slump while they're recovering from surgery.
Dude, you are being WAY too rational for this thread. Don't you know that anyone who is in a shooting slump sucks and must be traded immediatley???
