they should win at least 10 games

    I voted 11-5

If they do not win 10 I would be very disappointed

I don't see the option for 15 wins, so I just selected 13. Please fix your poll.

    There is no 1,2,3 either.

You have to have a little more mathematical abilities than that.

1, 2, and 3 aren't realistic options though, therefore, it wouldn't make sense to include them in the poll.

When you're talking to a TEXANS' fan... you kinda don't want to see less than eight on that poll. :(

I was optimistic until I saw them play. On paper, 10-6, on the field, 6-10. Wonder who the new coach will be next year.

I'm expecting 10, but would love to see 11 wins.

I'm optimistic, and ready for some Football.

    Go Texans!

It is time.....10-6 and a wild card birth, maybe even the WC home game.

    They are ready.

I'm hoping for a 10-6 season but that secondary looks iffy. 8-8 is my objective prediction. Kubes, it was nice knowing ya.

    8-8 won't get him canned.

He'll have one more year on his contract after this year.

They'd let him try one last time I think.

Here is my prediction for each game.

9/13 New York Jets - Offense shines while defense does what it has to.
    Result: W
9/20 @Titans - We fight the whole game but lose it in the 4th.
    Result: L
9/27 Jaguars - Defense plays spectacular shutting down MJD while offense has great success picking apart the defense.
    Result: W
10/4 Raiders - Texans want revenge from last year, and both offense and defense play their best game yet.
    Result: W
10/11 - @Cardinals - Offense keeps us in the game, but defense plays poorly.
    Result: L
10/18 - @Bengals - Both sides of ball do what is needed to get the win.
    Result: W
10/25 - 49ers - Defense keeps this inconsistent offense from getting alot of yards.
    Result: W
11/1 - @Bills - Close game throughout, but Schaub leads a last minute drive to get into field goal range, where Brown wins it.
    Result: W
11/8 - @Colts - Offense plays poorly, and Manning picks us apart.
    Result: L
11/23 - Titans - Texans want revenge from week 2, and the whole team shines.
    Result: W
11/29 - Colts - Texans play like nothing but pro-bowlers, and whoop the Colts.
    Result: W
    12/6 - @Jaguars - Texans can't repeat week 3, and lose a close one.
    Result: L
12/13 - Seahawks - Both teams play poorly, but Texans win it in the 4th.
    Result: W
12/20 -@Rams - Texans offense shines, but defense doesn't. Offense still makes up for it though.
    Result: W
12/27 - @Dolphins - Offense is held to under 250 total yards, and defense struggles.
    Result: L
1/3 - Patriots - The home crowd roars the team to victory in a shootout. Playoffs are here for the first time in franchise history.
    Result: W

    Overall: 11-5

There's my opinion. Really excited to watch Texans this year. Playoffs baby!! :D

Forgot to add 8-8 and miss the playoffs AGAIN. So 3 straight years of 8-8 records and missing the playoffs gets you another year to try again?

If we don't make the playoffs, IMO Kubes is on the hotseat.

I can't see him getting canned after posting the 3 best records in franchise history (lol :D)

But I think it has more to do with the fact that he's on the tail end of his contract and it makes more sense to see if there's something good coming rather than pull the plug and eat a contract.

Somehow I see Bob McNair pull that plug if the Texans don't make the playoffs and have to answer to a bunch of irate Texans fans/season ticket holders/PSL owners etc. I'm sure the Texans will still sell out even if they don't make the playoffs, but in this economy you never know.

Kubes will have had 4 seasons after this season to turn this around and get us to the playoffs. To me that's more then enough time to see if you can get it done. Especially in a parity league where bad/so-so teams can be playoff teams from one year to the next.

If McNair holds on to Kubes even if they don't make the playoffs, it tells me McNair just wants to save a buck rather then do what it takes to get the Texans to the next level.
