Ginboli is out for the year. THat makes the Spurs easier to be had. Posey now has a bad foot and NO hasn't really had the same year as they did last year. Chandler is hobbled. Denver has no inside game. Portland is up and down and we seem to have their number. Dallas is not the team of a few years ago, but can probably get dangerous in the playoffs, and Jason Terry kills us, but they're missing Stackhousen.

I think we match up well vs. Denver, Portland, or New Orleans in the first round.

Who do you want in the playoffs first round?

I could care less who we play...I feel like we can beat anyone if we execute and play some D.

We need to get that 3rd seed so if we do make it past the 1st rd we won't have to play the Lakers.

Yeah if we can get 3rd behind denver... We're set.

Unless Utah is the 6th seed. That would get interesting.

That doesn't say anything, every single team in the Playoffs has that ability.

We would still lose to the Lakers.

Not if we cut down on turnovers. Course, the Lakers defensive strategies probably have something to do with all those turnovers.

I think I want N.O., Portland is soooo talented, they could explode at any minute, kinda of scary. I think we could beat Dallas, but they have really had our number in the past, and Jason Terry will set records every night against the Rockets. I think we could beat the Nuggets, but Billips worries me. The Jazz want us really bad, wonder why? L.A., one and done. S.A., they are too experienced in the playoffs, Parker eats our guards for lunch. Yep, we should swat the Hornets. For some reason we match up well with them, despite CP3.

Honestly I think the only thing that would truly surprise me is if we beat the Lakers in a 7 game series. They clearly are the class of the West this year and any team beating them would be a surprise. Doesnt mean we cant do it, just unlikely.

Other then that I wouldnt be shocked if we beat any other team or got beat by any other team in the playoffs, first or second round. Seeds 2-8 really are close and I could see any team beating the other and thats for all of the match ups 2v7 (Utah-Denver), 3v6 (NO-SA w/o Manu), and 4v5 (Hou-Por).

Course the matchups could change daily so who knows whats gonna happen.

I don't care who we get. The only team that I'm afraid of is L.A. and I say bring it on to the Jazz. I'm tired of people being afraid of the Jazz around here.

,am, the SPurs are not going to magically tank just because Manu is out, i imagine they will still be #3 and we will most likely face the trialblazers. and then we will finally make it out of the 1st round. i imagine they will take it to a 5 game series, but we should handle it pretty good.

then in round 2? we will have to face the lakers...and may make it to a game 5, but i imagine get handled.

theres no point of saying "if"..
unless you have a solution to cutting down turnovers
theres alot of ifs we could say. we could be saying "if we do this..." or "if we do that..." all day but it wouldnt mean anything unless we knew how we could ACTUALLY do "this" or "that"

I'd say 'Stackhousen' is classier than my other nickname for Jerry--which is 'Crackhouse'.

But I think Dallas is weakened more than they know without Stack. He's their Michael Finley.

leave aside Lakers and Jazz, the Blazers would be the last one I would choose if I had the chance to select our opponent of the first round. Taking the blazers will be a honey trip if their enthusiasm chunks their heads and makes them acquire a 0-4, just like the grizzlies did before they started rebuilding in 06.
