My Mom had been having some random problems that no one could put their finger on. She went in for an EKG last week and it was revealed that she had most likely suffered a heart attack. She went in for further testing today to see what the problem could be. For some reason, when I first heard the news, the whole "my parents are indestructible, nothing will ever happen to them" thing kicked in, but now that I'm thinking of her having the tests done right now really has me freaked out. I'm not sure how I'd handle something happening to either of my parents. If you don't mind, keep her in your prayers. Thanks.
best wishes to you and your mom Blake... keep your spirits up...they do amazing stuff with cardiac problems these days...my wife had two of them within a month a few years ago, came damn close to dying.....and she is fine today.
Good luck to your mom. I went through the same thing with my dad a few years ago. He's been very healthy his whole life and out of the blue he has a heart attack, while swiming laps no less. It ended up being pretty mild and he's back to doing almost everything he was before.
My dad had a heart attack 6 months ago, on Christmas day. It's unpleasantly humanizing. I sincerely hope all goes well with her (and you). +
Good thing it was caught fairly early. She'll probably have to change her diet and such, but these things are fairly controllable these days. Just some positive thoughts.
