Prayers Needed

    Hey guys,

    So today my girlfriend's father passed away unexpectedly. She is a senior in high school, so obviously she is still very young and this is very hard for her. If anything, please go tell your father that you love him. This is still so surreal...

    Sorry about that.

    We almost lost my mom about 4 years ago. I make it a point to head to my folks every Thursday since it happened. Yeah, being single helps, but even girls I've dated never minded it.

    At the very least, keep in touch with your folks with a weekly call. You'll be happy you did. I'm much closer to my folks than I was 5 years ago.

    Plus, I think the old man likes talking to another guy from time to time.

    Anyway, it's a horrible age to lose a parent, and nothing but time is going to rectify it.

    Prayers to both of you. Life is truly a race against time with an unpredictable clock.

    You bring up a good point about communicating love for the people who are important in your life. I need to do it a bit more.

    Prayers go out to you and her. It's really tough. Only time will lessen the hurt. I lost my father 7 and a half years ago in 5th grade and it was a pretty tough time. Time has lessen the hurt and life has changed so much obviously but you always wonder what it would be like if deceased loved ones were still around.

    my sister's bf's dad passed last year and he is barely 19...it has been very tough on him.

    I will pray as well for her peace and his soul.


    Not to add on to sad news but my best friends girlfriends mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer so trying to reach out for people to pray for her as well.
