Hi all. I'm generally a lurker on these forums. As you can tell from my post count, I've been a member for a long time but rarely post. You don't know me but I can tell you I've really enjoyed the antics of the regulars (and not so regulars here) on this forum. My mum has just been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. My parents told me about 5 minutes ago and I am in complete shock. I feel numb. What's worse is that I just moved to the UK for work so I can't even give her a hug. I don't really have any close friends here so I don't have anyone to talk to. I just want to get this off my chest to anyone who will listen. So even though you don't know me, PLEASE say a prayer for my mum. She is a great woman and my best friend in the world. Thanks for listening.
You got US, brotha. Be strong, support your mom in everything, don't remind her about that stuff and keep things positive. I hope for a miracle for her. Try the best to make things sound as good as possible. Hope all is well and she beats this. F#($)& cancer, man. Que se alivie su mamá.
I will pray for you and your mom. Hate to hear this and i hope you're able to stay strong during this tuff time. I'm sure many on here have gone through something similar. My grandfather passed of cancer although, i was much younger
I know exactly what you're going through. Prayers up It's hard to deal with the inevitable, but stay strong for yourself and for others. God bless you and your family
You mother might take comfort in reading this book: You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought, Peter McWilliams And incurable is not untreatable. I hope your Mother has many years ahead of her.
