Prayer request please

    This one is a bit different than the usual prayer request....

    My father in law has been in poor health for some time. He has alzheimers, parkinson's disease, vascular issues, and has had a bunch of TIA's (mini-strokes) over the past few years. He's in a nursing home near us, and my wife visits him every day.

    Monday morning he had a stroke. He was unresponsive, then woke up for a short time. My wife and I had a chance to talk to him for a few minutes, then he drifted off and has been in an unresponsive, comatose-like condition since about noon Monday. He signed a DNR form last year, and we know he does not want to live like this. However, he has not passed on yet.

    We need y'alls prayers to help him move on to his final reward. He has suffered enough, but his body refuses to stop living. Please pray that the Lord takes him soon. Thanks.

    It took 10 slow agonizing years for Alzheimers disease to take my grandfather. He just slowly drifted away day by day. My prayers are with you and your family.

    My father-in-law passed away at 4am this morning. He's at peace now.
