Man, Carlos Rogers is a man. He got that painful injury but wont have surgery on it. Man, that's my kinda player. I just hope he doesnt damage it too much. But I dont know how much he can help us with that bandaged hand. Which hand is it anyway? Left or right? But either way, I have to give Carlos a lot of credit for playing with the injury. As far as the game is concerned... YAHOO!! That's all i gots to ssay!
Yeah, I have to give Rogers credit for refusing to go down with the injury. But now that he has made his point, he needs to get the surgery and get on the IR. He played 3 inconsequential minutes against Portland. If Rudy is going to be afraid to play him, then there is no point in delaying the inevitable. Besides, every minute he's on the court, he runs the risk of making the injury even worse. If this were the playoffs I'd say yeah play through the pain. But this is January in a losing season and you need to take care of your health first.
Rogers may have made it a point to play against his former team. I would not be surprised if he goes immediately onto the IR and get his surgery done. As for the Rockets last night, Francis actually played good D (first time I seen him do it). If he can average 20 points and 10 assists per game and play good D in every game, the sky is limit for him and the Rockets. Kenny has great footwork on the low block and knows how to play the game. He could be the steal of last year's draft. Pig is light years better than Hambone. Anderson showed why the Rockets wanted him so bad in the last off season. He had a great dunk in the half court set and ran the break with Steve exceptionally well. Williams is a shot blocking machine The Rockets actually looked like there were running plays in their half court offense. Rudy after that awful charging call look like if he was not restrained was going body slam one of the officials IMO Rudy does not get enough Ts. And lastly Quittin is not a clutch player at all (of course we knew that from last year.)
The injury is on his right hand thumb. I get the same advise for Carlos. IMO, Carlos would be one of our future players on this Rocket team, but if he continues to play with an injury, and makes it wrose, it'd be worthless. Yes. I love his dedication and everything, but forcing to play is not an option. Also, if Rudy is hesitant to play him, what's the point of not having the surgery and playing? Here's to hope he will change his mind and have the surgery ASAP. Who knows if we will be in the playoffs? Then we'll need you, Carlos!
I didn't check the main page of the site, but at 3:00pm on 610AM they said Carlos was going to have the surgery and be out 6-8 weeks.
Is there any way someone could send him some get well email? I know that after all he's been through, he'd probably appreciate a few nice words and thoughts.
