On REAL SPORTS with Bryant Gumbel last night, they had a 2 part report that basically said coal burning power plants directly correlate to asthma in children.

What makes it worse is, that during the Clinton administration the EPA had put out lawsuits with the 9 major Energy companies in the USA and ordered them to put scrubbers in their chimneys that would reduce 90% of the pollution in their emissions.

However, when a certain new president came to charge, he hired new people to run the EPA (certain oil/gas lobbyists to be exact) and now the lawsuits have been thrown out, and the pollution persists, causing asthma in children who live near power plants (because of their immature immune systems) and also causing major pollution to the air.

    What a shame!

Yeah, I never thought that much about asthma until I read that Art Bell's wife died from an acute asthma attack a few months ago. And, of course, that freaky scene from Nightmare on Elm Street part 4.
