FOX 26 reports that Walker, Polk, Grimes, Waller, Montgomery, Liberty, and San Jacinto counties are all without power. I got a page earlier from our IT staff at work that the University Center in the Woodlands had lost its power... anyone of you out there...? hello....? HELLOOooOOoooo? jk. I know it's not a funny thing... SKY FOX is around the air and the ground looks SCARY when it's DARK... if you can report anything... give a shout... I mean, HOLLER...
Wish mine was out, then I would have an excuse for my work. That's the way most of the highways in Saudi are, only lights are headlights.
Is this the majority of these counties, or what? As far as I know, all of Magnolia still has power...
They just said the power company said there was a "significant event" that caused the outage and that it could be out through noon tomorrow!
Seems pretty serious. All back up generators being used at Conroe Hospital. All Ambulances being sent to other counties. Likley to go on for 8 more hours. Entergy customers are the ones that are being effected. CenterPoint Customers are fine, and will have no problems. Entergy hopes to have the power back to all of it's customers by 5pm tomorow.
That's strange. All of Hyde Park in Austin was without power at 7 this morning. Even the traffic lights were shut down...from 32nd to 45th. We're all gonna die. One day in the future. That includes later today.
Watching the news on Ch 11 the lights in the neighborhood they are at came on live during their report. It looks like a lot of power is starting to come back on for some people.
Damn, I feel bad for all of people that had to go lastnight with no A/C.. I'm such a baby when it comes to sleeping without A/C it one of the worst things I can think of to happen in Houston durring the summer..
My folks live in Bellaire. Their power went out at 4 p.m. yesterday. It didn't come back on until 2:30 a.m. Pretty pathetic considering centerpoint doesn't deal with the grid that was out last night.
One advantage of actually living near the city center and near a lot of businesses is that when the power does go out (and that is rare), it gets turned back on quickly.
