My battery backup has got me up for the moment, but power is out for my part of the Heights (west, near Shepherd and 11th). I'm wondering how many others are currently down. I'm about to have to shut down. I've been down for about an hour.
battery backup on his cable modem im sure... I have a UPS on every machine in my computer room...and on one of the UPSs...I have my networking equipment all plugged into it.. as long as your internet provider...in this case TW...isnt down...then battery backup will keep you aloive for a short while. I lost power for about a miunute tops...we had some killer wind come thru tho...I had to go out in the middle of the worst of it to pull down my canopy over the picninc table inthe backyard...the wind was tryin to take it to the next county... got nice and soaked... hope everyone is ok after this bit of storms....it got pretty nasty there for a while.
Exactly. I said I had a battery backup, remember? I keep my modem, my router and my computer plugged into a UPS which keeps them running for about an hour after the power goes out. Power didn't come back on until after 1am.
