If your between 25-35 then you saw this flick way back in the 80's as a kid. Some of you might have already shown it to your own kids. My mom took me to see this in some run down movie theatre in Chicago. Anyway, there making a sequal.

...and no I'm not a Star Wars geek or any other geek. It's just this movie brings back a wave of nostalgia.

Wow. That's pretty cool. I haven't seen that movie since 1984 when it came on cable all the freakin time.

Another world, another time... This land was green and good... until the crystal cracked.

Family movies today are too damn cutesy. I miss dark children tales, like the kind I was raised on in the 80's. Along with The Dark Crystal, I grew up with The Secret of NIMH (which I've got it on DVD today), and as dark and scary as it was, I absolutely loved it. Today, that kind of movie would be boycotted by angry parents. Such a shame.

For some reason, my mom taped this and let us watch it when we were very young, probably about 4 or 5. I don't know what the hell she was thinking, because it was freaky as hell for a kid that age.

I always thought "The Brave Little Toaster" was kinda freaky, too. And don't get me started on "Return to Oz."

It reminds me of the movie, "The Labyrinth." Very scary.

Not because of the story, the muppets, or any of that; but for one terrible horrid thing.

David Bowie's crotch in that movie. He wore spandex, and I think a cup or something, cuz it was way too big for a kids movie. I saw it recently, and spent most of the movie shielding my eyes.
