Potential new law dealing with killing fetus during assault

    The Congress is working on the following proposal. What do you think?

    The newspaper said the campaign opened on Thursday as a House panel began work on a proposal making it a federal crime to injure or kill a fetus during an assault on a
    pregnant woman.

    There are some states that seemingly have a similar law, but this would make it nationwaide.

    This is not something the federal government should have it's nose in. Like most crimes, it should be prosecuted by the States, not the Fed. My complaint doesn't have much to do with the actual nature of the bill; I'm just annoyed that the federal govt would try stepping on the States' toes again. This is clearly not a federal issue.
