What are your predictions of first round matchup in the playoffs?

I am gonna say that we will be playing against the Dallas Mavericks in the 1st round.

I say this because although they are 4th now, I believe that Caron will take them to 2nd.

I also believe that we will be able to pass up portland in the rankings but probably not san antonio and phoenix...

I will save this thread and bring it back up when everything is set.

Hmmm 2nd really? I dont see the Mavs passing the Nuggets if nothing changes from here on out. But I agree with a 7th/8th spot for the Rockets. I think we can slightly edge out the Blazers or Spurs for one of those last two playoff berths.

We lose in the 1st round... Yup pretty much sums it up....

Then we trade AB + Scola + New York Picks to Toronto for Bosh.

DM finds a very capable backup to Lowry with our pick.

DM finds a way to trade Ariza for a backup 2 and a future 2nd round.

    We start the year with:
    Lowry
    Kevin Martin
    Shane Battier
    Chris Bosh
    Yao Ming

If Bosh is not available D. Morey will go down this list

    1. Bosh
    2. Amare
    3. Carlos Boozer
    4. David Lee

And the dark horse in all this...
    Chris Paul..

Morey has said that nobody is untouchable (Probably he was referring to everyone except Yao)

Expiring contracts + Knicks Picks + Our Picks
    Young Talent = Brooks

Morey has an arsenal in his hands to get one of the 4 power forwards.

We will get in as the 7th seed and win the Western Conference Finals. We will lose the Championship. :)

    The Wiz beat Denver.
    The Bobcats beat the Cavs.
Thornton lights it up. Tyrus rebounds and blocks shots like a madman. Jamison can't make a shot. Never thought the Wiz would be 2-0 since the trades, looked like a salary dump and rebuilding effort, well they might be better. And wasn't Jamison the piece that is going to win the Cavs the championship. My point is you can't predict the effect trades have on team chemistry.

Dying to see what the chemistry is like with the new guys before I make a prediction. We do have a pretty big hole to fill at PF and Martin wasn't having his best year so there is a question.

I'm confident the Rockets will make the playoffs, but at a low seed. I'm going with the 7th seed.

I think we instead of Brooks we should add Shane Battier and maybe a pick to sweeten the deal. With Shane Battier and Scola both signing next year we could do a sign and trade. What do you guys think? Is it realistic?

I think it's a great trade and will be very beneficial in the long run, but I have no idea how this trade affects the team this season.

Is Kevin Martin fully healthy? Can he get his groove back now that he's with Adelman? Who's going to be the alpha guy down the stretch? How is the 2nd unit going to respond without Landry? The Lowry Landry combo was the best thing going for this team. How will Jeffries fit in and can he play? How will team chemistry be now that there's backcourt guys that like to shoot? Can these guys adjust to their new roles and put a run together in time to make the playoffs?

I could see us playing the 3rd seed or 2nd seed.... meaning we get the 6/7th seed.. which is pretty decent. I certainly wouldn't want to play the nuggets or Lakers but I'd choose the Nuggets over the Lakers.

Brooks+martin in the backcourt just doesn't fit that well. Both are volume shooters. We need a pass first mentally PG that can spread the floor. I really wouldn't mind drafting a PG like rubio if we could get one.
