Cut from the Seahawks should be imminent. Chances are slim that he'll ever regain form, but he might still be a slightly above average guy for reasonable dollars. Without a full assortment of draft picks, every position we can shore up through bargain free agents is a big help. Evan
he's going to be lowballed in the market, not saying we should go after him unless he signs REALLY cheap. Maybe we can pull a Bonzi on him, wait until the all the teams have spent their free agency money, and if Alexander is still available, offer him the veterans minimum.
I thought this thread was gonna have a link to something legit . No thanks . Hes way too slow , and hes become a shell of his former self (which was really never too great IMO) .
I'd rather have had Warrick Dunn compared to the price it'd take for Alexander. In fact, I'd rather have Ahman back, as sad as that is
The Texans need some young legs in the backfield, period. Not sure what type of money Alexander is going to command, but I think we can better allocate funds elsewhere.
Might be worth a look, bring him in and see if he's still wants to play. Could be worth a incentive type contract since that's when he was at his best. Once he got his big contract, he seemed to mail it in...
Another past his prime running back? No thanks At least Ahman runs hard, which is more than I can say for Sean Alexander
the texas team from the north might have you beat http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/03/could-cowboys-be-alexanders-next-team.html
