When you play a game like baseball where you are using the same muscle groups day after day, a forced break can produce amazing benefits. When I sprained my ankle playing volleyball, I came back faster, stronger and more agile. A guy on my HS track team was a top performer. Got injured and was out 6 weeks. When he came back he was DOMINANT. Any athlete can confirm this phenomenon.

No, we should never hope for injuries, but the timing and the nature of these Astros injuries could actually yield huge benefits for us down the stretch.

    Let's go Stros!

It's a positive thing if we win the division and everyone is back healthy and ready for the playoffs.

Gets 4 star players rest with enough time to get back and get in a rhythm before the playoffs.

Gives younger guys (White, Davis, Kemp, Fisher) some major league ABs to get a better idea of what can be expected from them next season as they look to potentially replace Marwin and Gattis internally.
