The Rockets played the Lakers as well as San Antonio...

    We gave 2 games away.

We played pretty well. If we were either more playoff experienced
or less turnover prone we would have beat the Lakers.

We did no worse against them than the Spurs.

I was proud of how close we played the Lakers.

You know if we could cut out our stupid turnovers and keep playing the salty defense. We would be a much more feared team and alot closer to contending.

We were peaking and showing chemistry during the Laker series. I think JVG did a good job.

    Can't wait til next year.
Hope we make some changes (improvements)

the lakers were half asleep against us. i thought we gave a good fight, but lets not get things mixed up. once they get thier stuff together they are in another class.

next year kobe may be gone, gary & karla may leave too, phil could retire...

    at the same time

yao gets better, we find him a front court partner to work with, we get tmac, and we hire a freakin offensive coordinator!

then we will be #3 and they will be #6 and we kick thier a$$ :)

how 'bout we hire a recievers coach instead and teach them boys how to hold on to the ball.

positve vibes, yeah, the Rockets next year will be like the Wolves of this year. But Yao has to seriously toughen up this summer, no more collecting cabbag patch kids and playing Zelda on nintendo with Colin pine all day. Its time for that guy to get serious.

I imagine that this offseason is ging to be huge with deals,
I hope Les Alexander has the mindset to do something big.

Isn't that our team marketing slogan???

So let's do something big this off season.

The Lakers are only one team, and we have played them well the past few years. I wonder what would have happened if we faced the Kings, or the Spurs, or even the Wolves. Who cares if we beat the Lakers if we can't close the deal?

Instead of us just doing something, how about us doing something right? Think, you guys. Oops, I put this in the wrong thread, but the sentiment is still correct.

I really think we would have beaten the Lakers if we had homecourt advantage.

82 games against 29 teams say more than 5 games against 1 team.

i think time to gel is a bunch of BS. Look at the wolves, they remade their whole roster(only kept 3 players), and they are going to the finals. So gelling IMHO is overated. A team should be able to gell in like a month or so.

Just wanted to look at the glass half full for a minute.

Plenty reasons to rip the rockets, I have my own.

But if they had beat the Lakers, and played SA tough
    we would all feel better.

    They didn't, I don't

So I hope they trade Steve for value
I hope Yao comes back more assertive and demanding
I hope we get a better starting power forward
I hope we get a good point guard
And I hope the troops come home tomorrow.
