Not sure if this has been posted. http://www.nba.com/fedex/eng/yao.html While the media in general has been harsh on Yao lately, there are those who have good things to say about him. Among great centers, I believe there is a higher level of awareness regarding his potential. That he is performing below that potential right now. Bill Walton has always been a Yao Ming booster. According to the article, [Bill] Russell [...] agrees with Yao’s standing among today’s centers and says the 7-6 center reminds him of a champion who perfected the sky hook to six NBA titles. “He’s right there at the top with the best but his whole potential is ahead of him,” said Russell of the 24-year-old. “We forget that he’s just a kid. In terms of skills, he reminds me of Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar]. He’s not there yet but that is who I think he’s most like." So, are Abdul Jabbar and Russel angling for Ewing's job?
