The deciding game for Houston's HCA. If Utah wins and we lose to PHX, we gotta pull a Game 5 of the '95 Finals against Utah in the last game of the regular season.

...They're on a three home-game losing streak. Blown out by PHO and DEN, collapsed against SEA.

Don't count on Utah winning. At least, don't think of it as a guarantee.

the whole utah team could play blindfolded and still beat the jailblazers at home and couple that with our loss to phoenix tonight..

done deal in terms of setting up the final showdown with utah.

but it's no biggie, we'll beat utah in the finale to seal up HC. :)

Portland has NOTHING else to prove this season. They are NOT going anywhere and taking HCA from the j*zz will be their shining moment. I like Portland on the HCA j*zz upset.

If Utah loses, we secure homecourt. And I have a feeling both Utah and Rockets are losing tonight, not sure why. Must be Monday.

Blazers are planning to tank the remaining two games because they want a better lotto pick.

then why have they been playing their butts off for the last 15 games?

Plus, i dont see quit in mcmillan. i wouldnt be surprised to see portland put up a good fight and have a chance to win this one.

    Absolutely, signed the Sacremento Kings.

I think for sure Minny is tanking (they are a modern versions of the Spurs, bastards kept Brandon Roy from us and are doing their best to fully tank again), possibly NY. I think just about every other team is going to try to get more Ws to leave a better taste with their young players and fans.

IIRC, i think minn picked roy and the blazers were next. the blazers then took foye, who the wolves wanted.

I've wondered this for a while . . . Why didn't the wolves just take foye then? I don't get the swapping. Why didn't the first team (wolves or blazers) just take who they wanted?

I don't know but it was dumb. Maybe McHale was rusty given the numbr of drafts that he forced the franchise to miss.

Trade-up? I'm pretty sure the Trailblazers had to pay something to get Roy. Not to mention that for the Wolves, it makes total sense; some added assets with the player you want, on a lower rookie pay scale salary.

i think b/c the rockets wanted to make sure that they got roy so they phoned the wolves asking them to secure the pick and offered luther head for that security. i guess the wolves thought that the blazers didnt want foye and that theyd get the player they wanted PLUS luther head.
