This clearly deserved it's own thread and should not have been mixed up in any one of the other Portland trade threads or random trade threads. Well done.
Good call. I am yet to see anything OFFICIAL that suggests we are even talking to them (and fans posting letters on msg boards doesnt count!)
Tay Tay and Chuck on the same team... I may have to give you people up to be a PDX fan! I keed I keed.
No thanks. Rip's deal is bad and Pryzbilla is a wannabe thug. Come on. Does anybody remember the Blazer series? The man is dirty. He is the worst starting center in the game.
The acceptability of a contract is relative to the performance of the player it's attached to. In this case, Rip Hamilton is a highly efficient player that owns the mid-range and can create shots by moving off the ball. We need players that can move around screens, hit a midrange shot and keep the defense off balance. He's also a good defender on the perimeter and is a great transition player that can do well with the quickness of our team. Not to mention the fact that he has good passing vision and can occasionally bring up the ball when defenders are pressing Brooks. Given that he has the skills to contribute greatly to our system, I wouldn't necessarily call his contract "horrible".
This might be an ok trade if yao was on the team right now but that is not the case.Plus blake is a down grade to our current pgs. Furthermore we should get much better worth from T-macs expiring contract. _________________________________ Rule 17: Don't turn your back on bears, men you have wronged or the dominant Turkey during mating season. How about no. The mods should seriously think about making a sticky where all random thread ideas should go so we don't have to filter through this nonsense. Whenever a player gets released or is still on the market, there's a thread about how about that player, etc I know its the offseason, but still
1) He just signed last year for five year just before they took on AI, he has 4 years left being done with it in the 2012-13 season. 2) We have a trade thread.......... you know what forget it. Clutch should give temporary demotes for redundancy.
