I just read a hearsay that Portland plans to plunder Ariza with a five-year $45 million offer since they have lost Hedo.Does anyone hear about it ? It really feels me all warm inside,'cause there is just a "verbal" agreement between Ariza and Rox,he still has time to make a U-TURN like Hedo just did! Hope it was a joke...
It is from a chinese website,so I am not sure if it is true,I don't find anything useful on ESPN or Yahoo Sports.
wats up with all these rocketmans starting duplicate threads today??? first there is rocketman2000 start the rubio thread now we have rocketman5803 starting this ariza thread
ariza won't go to portland...he's coming to houston cause we give him a chance to improve to be a star...in other words, he's looking for more shots and to score. he won't get that in portland. he's just gonna be another role player playing with roy.
Bingo!! In houston, Coach will give Ariza rooms to show off his skills. On top of that, Rick is famous for developing players into NBA stars. Hedo is one of the example.
IF Portland does give Ariza 5yr/$45 mil, then of course he'd immediately jump ****. I don't even think there's any quesion about that. However, I sincerely doubt Portland will offer that kind of money to Ariza. At least, I don't think their front office is that dumb.
If Blazers want to pay Ariza 9m/year, good luck to them. Pretty soon all their young players would be demanding the same.
I worried about his yesterday as soon as the Hedo news came out. If he chose to jump ship, we would know his word is no good, but mine probably wouldn't be either for close to 10 million.
Nothing a sure thing until He signs. Lets wait up to July 8 and see what a verbal commitment really is nowadays.
if theres anything to learn about NBA players its knowing their word can never be trusted. i'd have so much respect for Ariza if he took less money to stay here.
Hopefully Ariza stays committed to the Rockets. 9 million/year is hard to pass up, particularly from such a promising team like the Blazers. If that's what the Blazers are willing to offer, I guess we didn't overpay for him.
Every now and then I like to remind people a Chinese website broke the J. Howard heart problem story way before any other media outlet. Among other things. So don't count it out just because they are Chinese. This story on the other hand just seems too far fetched.
