Complaint Filed Against Portis ASHBURN, Va. (Sports Network) - Washington Redskins (news) running back Clinton Portis (news) apparently hasn't come through on a jersey-number deal he made with former teammate Ifeanyi Ohalete (news), who filed a complaint in Maryland District Court. Portis and Ohalete both signed a contract in June, when it was agreed that Portis would pay $40,000 to wear No. 26. Portis, who was traded from Denver in the offseason, allegedly still owes Ohalete $20,000. During his two seasons as a Bronco, Portis donned No. 26, while Ohalete sported the same number in three campaigns with Washington. Ohalete switched to No. 30 but was cut during training camp in August. Ohalete was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Cardinals (news) and is now their starting free safety. Portis was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with a torn pectoral muscle. He suffered the injury in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys (news). The injury will not require surgery, but he will need about six to eight weeks of rehab. In his first year with Washington (5-10), Portis had 1,315 yards and five TDs on 343 carries. He also caught 40 passes -- third-most on the team -- for 235 yards and two scores. His 343 rushes this season marked the fourth-most by a Redskin in one campaign. In 1983, Hall of Fame running back John Riggins notched 375 carries -- the most ever by a Redskins running back.
